Lou was disappointed that the ball wasn't put in play (Jacque). He said even if there was a DP the run would have scored.

They will tinker with some things and play some different people if needed... threatening to bench people.

Also said that we have to win games when our pitchers give up only one run.

Threatening to bench? I'm guessing Izzy and Floyd.

Hopefully Jones too.

How are we going to bench all 3 of them? Are you going to put Ward in RF or put Cedeno in at SS and Theriot in RF? Both of those are not good options right now either.

I would love to bench everybody who isn't playing well, but the truth is that Lee, Ramirez, and Theriot (Theriot in the last 3 days) are the only players hitting well.

Cliff Floyd is complete gargage...I still can't believe that signing...Theriot should start every game...bottom line...bench Derosa too...he is terrible.

way to keep an even keel

even keel? 1st and 3rd 0 outs and Jockstrap can't even at the very least pull off his speciality a DP which would have at least tied the game. Different year, same crap. I'm sick of it.

Our 2007 Chicago Cubs - MLB's worst team.

That's a bit of an overreaction. Sheesh.

In terms of production/payroll...I'd say it is a fair assesment.

Lohse: "My stuff seemed about average today in warmups."

...yet still good enough to completely punk, thrash, and chop into little pieces our pathetic offense.

1. I hate you for predicting that.

2. I posted pics from this game in Baseball Discussions.

Atleast the Cubs bats will be in focus. As most of them stood on their shoulders.

I'm glad I spent the day skydiving and only had to come home to a crappy box score. If I had watched the game first, I probably wouldn't have bothered with the parachute.

I just don't understand why anybody would jump out of a perfectly good airplane !!!

Well, it could have been worse. We could have only given up 1 hit and still lost like the White Sox did today...

...that's all I got.

I just don't understand why anybody would jump out of a perfectly good airplane !!!

Reasons:

1) I'm a control freak, and landing is the scariest part of flying. It's easier to trust myself to land safely under a parachute out in the open than to trust a stranger who has me trapped in a multi-ton chunk of metal that also happens to be full of jet fuel.

2) More legroom outside.

3) Better view.

4) The adrenaline rush and blast of cold, thin air to the face is GREAT for hangovers, so if you make it up to altitude and out the door without refunding breakfast, you're set to go!

5) There's no such thing as a perfectly good airplane. (Just don't tell the Air Force I said that - I'm up for promotion this year.)

They were shut down by Sabathia though. We were shut down by Kyle Lohse. Kyle. Lohse. :puke:

haha, I've definitely herad the stories. I've even tried talking her into jumping, but we know how well that worked out.

I have one very distinct advantage over her: it's not the early 70's anymore. Parachute design has come a long way.

My thoughts exactly. How does this story keep repeating itself for this team, regardless of players or coaches?!
