This could be interesting. Could Quinn/Russell/Johnson end up in Atlanta?

The Raiders are preparing to make a run at Michael Vick, according to NFL sources. The Raiders package would include receivers Randy Moss and Jerry Porter plus the No.1 overall pick in the 2007 draft for Vick and the Falcons first round pick (10th overall).

The Falcons have said that they have no plans to trade Vick.

Good because this means that horrible deal Foxsports reported won't go through.

And even if the Falcons decided to that deal, they wouldn't draft a QB. I think they'd go with Matt Schaub and then draft Calvin Jackson or someone else.

Don Banks did a mock drafttoday.

Why is it that there's still a prevailing opinion that the Bears will draft a TE? If they were going to do that, I would think they'd have done that last year.

The guy I still have pipe dreams about somehow falling to the Bears (yeah, right) is LaRon Landry, and somehow in this mock draft he doesn't get taken till 20th by the Giants. I think that's the farthest I've seen him fall in any of the mock drafts I've seen.

Wow on Landry. I'm pretty sure I've never seen him below 10-12. That would be quite the steal for the Giants.

I like that he has the Titans taking Meachem. If Ginn and Calvin are gone (quite obviously Calvin will be), I think Meachem's my favorite. Not real high on Jarrett.

I'm mostly intersted in how Ugoh looked. Kiper reported he looked outstandng in the practices, and that his stock was soaring (I've seen him projected in the last 12 of the draft, with him going to the Bears several times).

Jarrett is every bit as good as advertised. He's big, strong, and has great hands. He may not be as fast as Meachem, but he's proven that he can do it on the big stage (Notre Dame, Michigan)

It's not so much that I don't think he's the real deal, I just don't like him as much as Calvin, Ginn and Meachem. In most drafts, I could easily see Jarrett being the first receiver taken, the problem is, this draft is incredibly deep.

My problem with him is primarily attitude driven. I've heard quite a few disparaging things about his attitude and would prefer the Titans to steer clear of guys with that stigma because we're already dealing with a couple of iffy attitudes right now (Pacman and LenDale).

I've got hope for LenDale though, he's been hanging out with Vince alot.

Apparently Troy Smith has said he wants to be drafted by the Cleveland Browns.

Brady Quinn is said to want that too...no surprise since both are Ohioans. They may well both end up being drafted by Cleveland, although recent reports of Carolina having interviewed Quinn extensively at the Senior Bowl are rekindling my hopes for a trade...

that would be very convenient for you :D

I looked at about 20 mock drafts last night out of boredom. Most had Carolina taking either Patrick Willis or Reggie Nelson, either of which I'd be ecstatic with. One solitary mock had Quinn falling to us at 14, which would be awesome and impossible.

Quinn was listed as going to either Cleveland or Miami in most mocks, with some votes for Oakland, Detroit, Tampa, and even Minnesota in there.

Wow, hadn't seen Quinn to Miami reports before.

Most reports I've seen, say that if Quinn drops to Miami at #9 they will be forced to take him or trade down to a team that really wants him.

This guy is predicted by most mocks to be the 1st linebacker taken overall, somewhere between the 10th and 15th pick. He's my next door neighbor and a buddy of mine, so I'm reallllllly hoping the Saints trade up to get him somehow. He couldn't be a nicer or humbler guy either. He grew up picking cotton and was taken away from his abusive parents and put in foster homes while growing up. That has given him a ton of character. Anyways, I made a video last night of him crushing some people.

Also, these are some of his ridiculous tackles:

Brian Leonard owned him in the Senior Bowl...fwiw.

He had 16 yards rushing. Willis had 11 tackles and was Defensive MVP.

...And from what i hear he had a very good week leading up to it. The practices leading up to the game are as important if not more important.

I was speaking of a 3rd and short when Leonard took the handoff and drove Willis back about 5 yards.

I like Willis though...but Brian Leonard is a beast.
