How exactly would you obtain him? not only would they likely require Hill and/or Marshall, why on earth would you have Lilly as your hypothetical #2? You do realize that Bedard performed better than Lilly, in the AL East, right?

Carlos Quentin will not be pushed aside by the likes of Eric Byrnes... Byrnes is having a career year, and the D'Backs understand that Quentin has immensely more potential and if they're going to be willing to play Upton, no matter how talented the kid is, they're not going to give up on Quentin. And even if I am wrong about that, if he is moved, I can only see Quentin being moved in a trade for an impact veteran of some sort, in a win now sort of move... **edit** ok, so I have been out of the loop and didn't realize that the D'Backs had signed Byrnes to that new deal... I now think that they're foolish for doing so and could see Quentin being moved more now than i could before
