They showed sounds of the game during Bears Game Night Live. Charles Tillman sure does yell a lot during the game. He's like Pedro Martinez or Jose Lima of the ballclub.

I was driving back home to DC from Florida with the family after getting home from a week-long cruise today, so we stopped at some Godforsaken Applebee's in the middle of Nowhereville, SC to watch the 2nd half after a failing battle with AM radio.

Thank you, Jeebus.

Great to see Rex play well today, and the Bears get a win. I would like to see more Benson, but I'll live.

I really hope the defense plays better next week. If Brees gets the looks Hasselbeck got today, it will be really ugly. That secondary MUST tighten it up if the Bears want to make it to the superbowl.

How exciting was the non-punt return of Devin Hester?

And who else here think Devin Hester will have a "sophomore slump" simply because teams are going to kick the ball away from him?

Possibly, but it should be noted that, in Holmgren's eagerness to keep the ball away from Hester, he gave the Bears good field position all day and indeed, in the overtime his punter shanked it off his foot, giving the Bears the opportunity to move the ball into field goal position much more easily.

So having Hester will help either way. Coaches can pick their poison: give Hester chances to score, or give the Bears offense good field position. It's a choice I'm more than happy to lay on opposing teams and their coaching staffs.

What irritates me is the comment about them maybe not being the better team. The Bears have been a lot better than Seattle this year. They didn't play very well today, but they still won because they're a better team.

Believe it or not, that was one of Gene's more tame anti-Bears articles. He's been ripping into this club all year, but even he couldn't ignore those Grossman throws----which nobody can deny were absolutely incredible. Nor could he deny that, in the 4th quarter & overtime, when that defense absolutely NEEDED to stiffen, they did exactly that.

You should have read the article he posted a few weeks back. You would have thought Lovie Smith had killed his family or something.

Personally, if I was an opposing coach I would never kick it to Hester on kickoffs, and I would always kick it to him on punts. He is almost a liability on punts sometimes-3 times yesterday he almost turned the ball over. Twice he fumbled, but the one I thought was the worst was when he dove and extended to make that fair catch-all it took was one bobble on a very difficult catch, and all the Seahwaks could have jumped on him. I've seen him field numerous punts inside the 10, and that's not the first time he has fumbled a few punts either.

So, I'd try to get him to use his aggressiveness and punt it to him, but I'd avoid him on the kickoff, where he can take it back on any return, and he has virtually no risk of doing something silly like a punt. Kickoffs is where the Bears should continue to get good field position no matter what the opponents do, and that's where his value is to you.

The flag was out so early, that I didn't get myself very excited about the runback.

The only time I got upset with Grossman yesterday was the fumble. He needs to learn to just eat the ball when he gets in trouble.

I would have been much happier with a punt downfield over a short TD by the Seahawks.

Way to go Bears! Two more games to go!

I didn't see the flag, so I was way too excited about a non-touchdown.

That picture of Olin Kreutz leaping in joy makes me so goddarned happy.

Him and Brian Urlacher deserve a Super Bowl ring more than anyone else. They have truly given their heart to this team for a long time.

From where we were sitting the flag could be seen immediately. The place was going bazonkers, which was pretty fun to see. I spent the play going "NO! FLAG! NO!"

After the FG, of course-----that was really something to see.

Actually, I think he's breaking someone's jaw right there, they're just out of frame. :P

I know Reggie Bush brings the sxcitement, but to me, Devin Hester has been "The Rookie" in terms of excitement all yr. He has done things as a punt returner that nobody has EVER done before. And I hope Lovie puts in some trick plays that uses Hester speed (reverses, etc). I really hope the Bears use Hester in the way the Steelers used Randel-El (who is glad the Bears DIDN'T say Randel-El, NOW?). I mean, using Hester more on offense against the Saints, would totally confused the Saints, and they would have to account for Hester, as the Bears will with Bush. I think Hester could totally impact the offensive side of ball, if Lovie choose to.

Hester is awesome, but he might want to master that tricky "catching the ball consistently" thing before they start getting too complicated with him.
