Robbie Gould is a great inspiration. Walked on at PSU, didn't get drafted, given a try at NE, cut, signed to the Ravens practice squad, signed by Bears for a chance, and in his second year is a Pro Bowl kicker and just sent his team to the NFC Championship Game.

I was in highschool the last time the Bears won a playoff game. My eyes honestly welled up.

I wasn't even a Bears fan when they last won.

The Bears were last in the NFC Championship in 1989.

I think next week's game is gonna be pretty comparable to this game. Throw in a better QB, the Reggie Bush factor, but also a worse defense, and I think we will have a similar score next week. Hopefully with the Bears on top still.

I'd just like to state how much I love the Joe Buck sad voice after Gould kicked the game winner.

I think the most amazing part of this game by far was when Joe Buck said that Chicago is "A great city."

The Bears are going to need a similar game plan, I'll be disappointed if Jones/Benson don't get 35+ carries vs. a below avg. run defense. I'm glad that they'll be facing a more pass oriented offense given how poorly the Bears have been against the run w/out Harris.

Gotta have less D. Manning. The first TD drive was 80% on him (20% on the D-line).

Defensive line play has been absolutely horrible for about 6 weeks.

They beat the Vikings in '94 at Minny as a wildcard but then got blown out by the 49ers

So do the Bears play next week on Fox at 2:00 CT?

1 pm CT.

I think that's when the pre-game starts. Like when Fox said today's game started at 12:00 ET. Yahoo's schedule says 3:00 PM ET.

Makes sense. Stupid FOX.

Not just Manning, but Chris Harris was pretty bad too. They really miss Mike Brown. Dan Hampton was speculating on WGN radio that Cameron Worrell would start over Chris Harris if he was healthy. Somehow I doubt that.

The Saints website has it listed as a 1pm start. Unless the NFL accounts for the FOX pregame.

Worse defense? The Saints defense is ranked 4th in the NFC, with Seattle at 9th.

Yeah, Harris was bad too. But I think he's a better FS than Manning and Johnson is better vs. the run. Harris missed a ton of tackles that led to big Alexander gains.

I still don't think Mike Brown is that big of a loss. Losing Tommie Harris has made this team an average defense. I thought it was lack of motivation in recent weeks, but they just aren't a great defensive team without Tommie.

I donno the saints did run the ball all over Philly with Duece and Reggie.

They did it outside of the guards, which is the strength of the Bears defense b/c of Urlacher, both Duece and especially Bush are not as strong running up the middle as Alexander.

Good going guys, I'm happy for you :D

This however is where my Bears bandwagon ends. Underdog factor + NFC South factor + Katrina factor = Go Saints!

D. Manning is extremely gifted as far as his tools (probably faster than Tillman and Vasher), but his instincts and knowledge of where he should be has to improve.

Not to talk about the draft now, but the Bears really do need a fat DT to compliment Harris in running situations and then bring in Tank on likely passing situations.

Saints gave up 4.9 ypc this year, only team worse was the Colts. They did do well in ypc passing, but they gave up a 2nd worse 26 TD passes. I will give you that they are better statistically than Seattle. But I'm more confident with the Bears O against the Saints D than the Seahawks....especially outdoors.
