I think next week's game is gonna be pretty comparable to this game. Throw in a better QB, the Reggie Bush factor, but also a worse defense, and I think we will have a similar score next week. Hopefully with the Bears on top still.

Worse defense? The Saints defense is ranked 4th in the NFC, with Seattle at 9th.

Saints' DVOA is 19, Seahawks is 20. 0.1% separates them. They are the same defense, and it's not a good one.

The Bears are going to need a similar game plan, I'll be disappointed if Jones/Benson don't get 35+ carries vs. a below avg. run defense. I'm glad that they'll be facing a more pass oriented offense given how poorly the Bears have been against the run w/out Harris.

Gotta have less D. Manning. The first TD drive was 80% on him (20% on the D-line).

Defensive line play has been absolutely horrible for about 6 weeks.

D. Manning is extremely gifted as far as his tools (probably faster than Tillman and Vasher), but his instincts and knowledge of where he should be has to improve.

Agreed. And it's not gonna happen in a week.

Saints gave up 4.9 ypc this year, only team worse was the Colts. They did do well in ypc passing, but they gave up a 2nd worse 26 TD passes. I will give you that they are better statistically than Seattle. But I'm more confident with the Bears O against the Saints D than the Seahawks....especially outdoors.

Well, I'll give you that. However, I think at this point the Saints O is better than the Bears D. Especially considering y'alls last few games. You'll have the top passing offense in the NFL up against a defense that, not counting this last game, has given up 283 yds and 3td's to Kitna, 268 yds and 3td's to Rattay, and 356 yds and 3td's to Bulger.

Your secondary is suffering.

The corners are playing well, but the safeties are struggling.

I'm guessing it'll be a reasonably high scoring game next week.

Well to be fair, we only gave up 195 yards and 1 TD with 1 INT today, so they weren't that bad.

I just realized if my girlfriend's flight didn't get cancelled, I would've missed OT of this game because I have to go pick her up. Thanks crappy weather.

Best boyfriend ever...haha

I agree. He will take the next step next season.

They looked better today with Tillman healthy and playing against a much better QB than Kitna and Rattay.

The problem with the pass D is the pass rush. Bears CBs played excellently today. Safeties were lackluster, but the LBs make up for some of that.

The LBs are going to be very important, esp with the way they pass to Bush too and the safeties struggle.

Believe me, it would have been just as exciting. Maybe even more so. When IU beat Duke to go to the Elite 8 a few years ago, I was in the car, and proceeded to get out and run down the street screaming.

IDK about that. The Saints are a dome team that hasn't played in a cold weather site since Week 16 against the Giants, and they only played in 3 cold-weather sites all yr (Cleveland, NYG, GB). Cleveland sucked from the beginning of the yr, GB got off to a slow start, and Giants were finished the fall from grace. Not exactly world beaters.

With that said, I have mad respect for the Saints, and I believe this next week, the NFL are going to try and make the Bears the "bad guys" so that the "Cinderalla" team can get to the Super Bowl. All I know is, the clock has strucked midnight, and the Saints "Cinderalla" season will be over in 7 days.

All I know is, there aren't many Saints fans who give a crap about the "feel-good" story. We don't want to be the cinderalla team, we want respect for being a good football team.

"omg omg tragedy give them superbowl "- analysts

whether you like it or not, the media will portray it like that.

I'm worried about our defense just getting tore to pieces by Drew Brees, but there isn't much I can do about it right now.

Hopefully we can keep their offense off the field long enough and we can put up 27+ points and that'll give us a good shot to win. It will be a battle.

HECK YES! Man that was intense.

Random thoughts:

-I was pretty surprised that they were actually selling some tickets at the will call box office. Some guy walked up and was actually able to buy three. Wonder if the word will get out. I hope not.

-Boy the defensive and offensive lines sucked. And I mean sucked.

-They managed to screw up three TDs today. Unbelivable. Tillman dropping the pick 6 on the first drive (the one that turned into a 9 yard reception), Berrian dropping a TD pass, and a really stupid block in the back on a player that didn't pose a threat to Hester. Despite the defense looking bad and the offensive line looking bad, it's good to know that they really should have done much better.

Too tired. And hungry. But it's time to start the highlights.

Well, I disagree with a couple things. I think the block in the back did make the difference. Hester could have possibly made a move and beat the guy, but the block put him completely out of position. And the offensive line wasn't bad, blocking wise. Did have a few missed reads with blitzers running free on many occassions. They run blocked well and gave Rex time when Seattle brought less than 6.

But I could be just jealous because you were there and I wasn't!
