i dont see the problem with barehanding it. Do you guys? throw sucked.

No, but that won't keep Tim McCarver from saying it 19 or 20 times in 5 minutes.

Why do pitchers tend to lob the ball to first so frequently? Give it a little juice and the throw would be more accurate.

I distinctly remember Terry Mulholland blowing a game at the Astrodome like that. I think it was a big game too, I just can't remember the context

I agree. He barehanded it but that didn't force him to make a bad throw. He just didnt set himself properly.

I seem to remember him gloving it and then soft tossing way over the the head of the 1b.

I remember that too. Was that in '98? Extra innings involved?

I thought it was a lob. Either way, I hate it when pitchers botch those throws.

You have to remember that he has one less shirt layer for protection in the midriff area

I don't remember what season it was in. It was either in the 10th or 11th (believe the 10th) and it was with the bases loaded and 2 out. I remember it was a big situation, a big cheer with the comebacker, and then just the utter shock as it went into right field.

Who pays bug bucks to go to a World Series game and wears a pumpkin on his head with the Tiger insignia blocking your view? Somebody did. Edited by Wilson A2000
