ND holds off a late run to beat WV 61-58, and the ESPN2 cameraman showed more close-ups of Kyle McAlarney than anyone.

Ball State...sucks. 4-11 now.

Meh, Josh Shipp has a slight tear in his hamstring and is out for the USC game on Saturday morning. Looks like Mike Roll will start and Ben Howland wouldn't say if Shipp would be out any longer. :|

"He wants to play, of course," Howland said, "but I'm very worried about this becoming something that can get worse. Hamstrings are very, very tough injuries because you always run the risk of tearing it worse. ...

"We have to look at the long term. We have right now in the regular season ... a minimum of 16 games for sure that we're going to play. I don't want to see this turn into a thing where he's going to be out for three weeks, a month, two months."

What do the Illini fans think of the Iowa game tomorrow night? Is it true that Jamar Smith is likely out?

Iowa will need Cyrus Tate to have a game like he had against Michigan State (14 points, 9 boards, 6-7 FG) to have a chance at winning in Champaign. Not to mention needing Haluska to have a good shooting night and get some decent PG play.

Has there ever been anyone uglier than Joakim Noah?

You're quickly becoming one of my favorite posters (don't stop talking about Florida basketball).

Haha, thanks. I just can't stand them, mainly because of their coach and because of Noah. Man oh man.

Has there ever been anyone uglier than Joakim Noah?

Shelden Williams

Sam Cassell

Detlef Schremp

I dunno, I think Noah wins.

Noah's definitely uglier than Schrempf and Cassell. That animal trying to escape from Williams's forehead might give him the advantage though.

Clearly Shelden Williams wins. No contest.

Also, don't forget Popeye Jones.

And this thread weirds me out. It seems like it's mostly people just talking about their own teams, with no one really responding. Maybe it's just that I'm so used to talking about the Cubs with other people who want to talk about the Cubs on this board, I don't know.

Also, the Tar Heels rule. Raisin, it's too bad we won't play in the regular season. I'd really like to see a UCLA-Carolina matchup. I kind of hate that, in order to stay competitive for the tournament, teams have to fill their schedule with powder puff games.

No they don't.

Ohio State played at Unc and Florida

Texas A and M played both UCLA and LSU

Kansas played Florida

Texas played LSU

Hell even Duke played a D1 school this year Gonzaga, at a "neutral site"

You just have to wait until those teams meet each other, like the bragging rights game. Also, with conference seasons getting into gear(and the better matchups that come with that) and the end of college football, I think you'll see more unified interest in some games.

On another note, Mizzou takes on Texas tonight in Austin. Hopefully the press can be effective or at least force UT to hurry their offense into rushed shots, or it may be a long evening. A win would pretty much erase the ISU disappointment in almost every sense.

Kentucky played UCLA (neutral), at UNC, and Memphis (neutral). 3rd highest SoS in the nation right now (Arizona and UCLA are higher). kind of strange that Kentucky is 7th in RPI and is not ranked. i guess it's because Kentucky has lost each time it played a high-caliber team. i think they'll have to beat a Tennessee or LSU before they are ranked.

I'm anticipating a 6 point Mizzou lead with under a minute to go, and then they'll lose by 3.

Almost tip-off for Mizzou. I wish it was on TV. I wonder how many times I'm going to hate on Marshall Brown tonight.

Probably not as many as Horton. Id be a lot more excited if Mizzou didnt somehow lose to Iowa State. I'm really starting to hate that damn school.

Why does Horton shoot 3s? Why does Horton shoot? Why does Horton play? Blah. We're gonna get killed.
