I think I might wear this shirtto the Gold Cup games

At least it's red. It's a fantastic shirt.

If the US plays Mexico in the final I'm finding some sort of anti-Tricolores shirt to wear.

It needs to have some reference to 'dos a cero' in it, of course.

Awesome shirt. I'm considering ordering one.

That is sweet. I liked the idea of wearing it on Cinco De Mayo too ;-)

Damn. We're totally not going to get the 2018 World Cup. England?

Could still get it in 2014. Columbia has no shot in hell IMO which pretty much just leaves Brazil. They are probably just 50-50 too.

If it goes to England in 2018 that would be pretty nice to go to. If that happened I would think the US would be a lock for 2022.

It's possible but if FIFA is saying the rotation might end in 2018, that implies it won't end in 2014. I agree that Columbia has no shot, but I've pretty much assumed it'll be Brazil, as FIFA seems intent on South America.

It'd be quite fun to go in 2018 to England, agreed. Let's hope the US gets it back in 2022, if so.

With security being the #1 concern by FIFA now I am not sold on Brazil being able to have things in line within 2-3 years which I am assuming will be FIFA's deadline.

The 2018 bids between the US and England will probably be the most impressive bids FIFA has ever recieved which is why I think both countries are a lock for 2018 & 2022. Its just a matter of what order they will be in. Both countries being on the front lines of economy, security, and the potential venues will be amazing.

Dallas might not be the high profile city for the US, but the new Texas stadium will be the mecca of US stadiums.

I hear you on the Brazil concerns, and I've always questioned the rotation as Africa and South American simply can't match up with Europe, Asia and North America/US in all the amenities needed to host. However, I still think one way or the other South America will get 2014, which basically means Brazil.

Agreed. England and the US bids for 2018 will be mighty impressive and I'm sure those will two countries will host 2018 and 2022.

The new Texas Stadium looks amazing. Don't sleep on Indy's new stadium either, I'm hoping maybe they can get in on the World Cup action. Problem is, by 2022 or even 2018, neither stadium will likely be state of the art.

Please, no World Cup in just England. Make use of Scotland (Hampden Park), Ireland (the new Lansdowne Road looks amazing), Wales (the Millennium Stadium) and if Northern Ireland can sort themselves out, go there, too.

Also, can I make anyone jealous by telling you I got tickets for the UEFA Cup Final this year?

Its an International Week in Europe, TT, that's why there's been no Premiership games, or any other top flight games, going on.

Didn't know, but figured. And, yes, I'm very jealous. Jerk.

Good showing for the US, I thought. Donovan's good.

best game donovan has played in a very long time. now if we can just get Beasley to undergo that same rebirth I will be feeling very good.

Feilhaber was impressive as was Bradley.

Johnson continues to unimpress me.
