I'd do it for Jered Weaver, McPherson and a prospect. I really don't want to sacrifice any good players on offense, so I'd only do it if they were willing to over pay (a lot).

BTW, what happened to McPherson? He was so good in 04 (40HR between AA and AAA).

I don't want Aramis traded for anyone who couldn't realistically put up Aramis-like numbers next season. I see no other reason to trade the long-awaited return of Great Cubs thirdbaseman.

That depends on if you think that Cubs are going to rebuild for the future...or wait till Dusty gets all of his horses healthy.

ARam for Mathis and Kendrick.

Mathis, Pie, and Hill/Guzman for Miggy Cabrera.

Done.

Given the Angles current farm system, I could think of no better partner to get some really solid foundation pieces for next year and beyond.

I'd seriously examine them as a trading partner.

At this point, I think Nappoli has more value then Mathis. But both deals would be very nice. But I don't see Hendry pulling it off.

I would stay away from Jered Weaver. His mechanics remind me of Wood. Throws across his body which causes shoulder/elbow problems. He was already placed on the DL this year with shoulder tendinitis. If im trading Ramirez I would want Kendrick, Rivera and McPherson.

Napoli is garbage on defense.

Personally, I rather hve Erwin Santana. But dang, look at the future Angels' starting rotations of Weaver/Santana/Lackey and just WOW.... With Shields/FRod at the end of the game...now if they could get some offense, they WOULD be the best/most talented team in the AL.

As somebody said....back problems. At this stage, I believe Dallas is going to be moved to 1st base/DH. So McPherson doesn't make since, unless we moved him to another team like the Orioles/Royals who need a 1st baseman, more then we do.

How about throwing in Pierre with Aramis? The Angels could use some extra outfield help.

Colon left today's game after 1 inning with an injury so Maddux might help as well.

Angels get:

Maddux

Lowell+$

Walker

Pedroia

Boston Gets:

Aramis

Cedeno

Cubs get:

Wood

Kendrik

Jacoby Ellsbury

McPherson (PTBNL)

Quite a stretch... I know.

ARam and Cedeno for Wood, Mathis and Kendrick.

Maddux to the other LA for Laroche.

Laroche, Mathis, and EPatt for Cabrera.

Lee/Kendrick/Wood/Cabrera infield in 2007? I could live with that.

I don't think any of the teams besides us would make those deals.

Wood and Kendrick are nation-wide top-10 prospects (heck, arguably top-5). To get both, you'll have to give up more than just Aramis and Ronnie.

I'd add the Dodgers and maybe even Tampa Bay as another trading partner, but other than that I would agree that this is the team to deal with.

At least he is producing OFFENSIVELY. Mathis, RIGHT NOW, is pure garbage, offensively or defensively. Like I said...RIGHT NOW Nappoli has more value then Mathis. Now if Mathis would pull his head out of his butt, then that's another story.

I'd do ARam for Brandon Wood straight up, IF it meant taking ARam's money and going balls out for quality pitching next season.
