I'll translate for the out-of-towners:

WBBM= 780 AM

WGN=720 AM

WSCR= 670 AM

WLS=820 AM

WMVP=1000 AM (he's headed in this direction!)

Unless they've moved it recently, WLS can be found at 890 AM, no?

lol, that's what I meant to type. :oops:

Either way, Rusch will be tuning in in probably another 2-3 outings.

Though there had been no mention before Sunday of Rusch's ailment, and he had no history of back spasms, manager Dusty Baker said the injury may have contributed to Rusch's poor pitching.

"It's something that kind of bugs you," Baker said. "It doesn't really hurt, but you're trying to be a man and don't want to complain about something that could be minor in some people's eyes but ends up being major. It's been bothering him for a while."

those back spasms must have been an ongoing problem since the beginning of rusch's career, because he's never been any good.

Okay, Dusty. That still doesn't explain why you gave him the start on Friday.

I agree with Dusty that sometimes you have to man out what doesn't hurt.

For the first time ever, I actually found myself rooting against the Cubs. At 4-1 in the 8th, I knew the game was over. I was hoping for Rush to get bounced after 1/3 of an inning with about 7 or 8 runs scored. That would only go to getting him DFAd quicker, and hopefully, Dusty fired sooner. I felt disgusted rooting against us though, but I couldn't help it...

I started rooting against the Cubs for a while now, but now I'm actually starting to despise this organization.

on the pre-game radio show Dusty was talking about "we are working on it" in response to giving up the most walks and homeruns in the league. If that's the case, why on EARTH would he ever use Rusch again? Rusch is single-handedly responsible for that statistic I would guess. :?

When the Cubs walk batters, they're just clogging up the bases for the other teams speed-burners.

Lets see, Rusch had a terrible 1 inning of work. Thank god he's good 75% of the time for us, that means that we've got 3 shutout innings coming up.

Because by "we are working on it" Dusty meant they are trying to ensure that they give up the most. :D

You mean three shutout at-bats. They each count separate, that's how you get to 75%. I did the math earlier... where's my slide rule?

Will someone just go ahead and shoot Rusch and put him (and us) out of his misery. This old dog just doesn't have it anymore. I'd much rather see Hill or Guzman in long relief roles.

I'd rather see Florence Henderson.
