Len said April 23rd was the last time the Cubs won on WGN.

Well, the next two games are on WGN.

Isn't tomorrow's game on ESPN?

It's on both.

SO ATTN: EVERYBODY WATCH ESPN OR WE LOSE OKAY?

i think steve stone is doing the game, so there's your incentive to watch.

So does that mean the game is going to be blacked out on ESPN? They often do that with Giants games out here if it's supposed to be televised on ESPN and FSN.

I don't think so since WGN is national. It *might* be blacked-out in Chicago, but I doubt it. I don't get blacked out from Cubs games unless they're on INHD :(

Why was Wood removed after so few pitches and just one earned run? Please tell me it wasn't injury related.

Blackouts in the Chicagoland area. I want to hear Steve Stone

It should be nice to hear Steve Stone tomorrow.

He was getting hit pretty hard. he really didn't show he had much control or velocity or much of anything. His curveball wasn't breaking, his fastball was flat, just didn't look very good at all.

Ballgame.

Yay, we suck again.

Geez, guy give Wandy a little credit. He's putting together a very good season so far.

Granted, I'm as ticked as you are but the kid pitched a decent game against the Cubs.

This was almost the shortest game thread of the year. But we've passed that mark now.

True, whats so amusing about getting wooped by Wandy!

I wonder if the outcome of today's game would of been different if Treeman would of done the thread for today's game.

I'm on a 3-thread losing streak, so there's a chance.

My favorite 3 things about this thing, in order:

1. Marmol

2. Hearing that the Cubs drafted my all-time favorite two-sport athlete Jeff Samardzija (even though there's no guarantee he will ever play pro baseball).

3. Seeing Blanco hit a baseball again.

Speaking of substitute thread-makers, where's Treeman?

call me crazy but i have a hunch that had zero effect on today's game

Sampson is a righty so we should have a chance tomorrow.

He's also a nothing rookie. The bad mojo counteracts the good.

How late do we have to wait for UberGoober to start the thread before somebody can step in? I have dibbs on tonight.

Since he didn't actually lose, Treeman is still the thread starter. That issue came up earlier this season and I believe that was the rule.

Serena has Uber as the starter in the "Game Thread Starters" thread. Either way, what time does either Uber or Treeman have until before somebody else can start the thread?

I thought it was midnight, but who knows.

That's what I thought and it is midnight Central time right now.

I think I'll just start one and if the mods want to delete it then so be it.

Will this team ever realize a pitching pattern and take advantage of it? It was the same approach to every hitter for Rodriguez, outside, outside, outside, what exactly does this Coaching staff do during the game? Play Hearts? There was a shot of Clines looking out of the dugout however; I don't believe he was watching the Game.
