From Aaron Gleeman:
Yankees coach Larry Bowa ripped Corey Patterson for stealing bases in a blowout Sunday, but Patterson didn’t let that misguided criticism stop his non-stop running. Patterson swiped a base Monday for the ninth straight game, becoming the first player to accomplish that feat since Rickey Henderson way back in 1986.

Despite beginning the season on the bench and being platooned at times against left-handed pitching, Patterson is on pace for 22 homers, 106 runs scored, and an amazing 81 steals. His career-high is 32 stolen bases, but Patterson has always been a high-percentage thief and he’s an incredible 26-for-27 thus far. If healthy, he should cruise to 50 steals

Bowa really looking for people to rip these days

They discussed Patterson stealing bases in a blowout on Mike and Mike yesterday, and one of then brought up a great point: The team that is down 7-0 is still trying to win, regardless of the score, so shouldn't the team that's up 7-0 still try to win? The way relievers blow games these days, you can't guarantee every lead is safe.

Mabry just hit the crap out of that ball.

I was just going to rip Dusty for putting the slowest bat on the team up with Lidge out there.

What happened with JJ? Someone said something to him or something- he was looking up into the stands and some security personnel and players were pointing.

Great, he's getting jeered at by Cubs fans on the road too... he must really hate us ha

So does that mean the game is going to be blacked out on ESPN? They often do that with Giants games out here if it's supposed to be televised on ESPN and FSN.
