Random stat:

 

Among qualified batters, Pierre has the lowest OBP of any leadoff hitter in baseball. By 35 points.

 

How about OBP among all players that have started every game in the season?

 

I dunno about that - it would be hard to check on since different teams have played different numbers of games thus far, but I can tell you this:

 

Pierre's OBP in the leadoff spot is the worst among qualified batters in MLB.

Cedeno's OBP in the #2 spot is second worst among batters with 75 AB or more at that position in the order.

 

Our OBP in the 1 and 2 spots in the order is actually worse so far this year than it was in 2005, when we had that fabulous 1-2 punch of Patterson and Perez.

HAHAHAHAHAHA. 3-run homer for Borchard. Cubs losing 6-3 now. This is just funny stuff at this point.

BOTTOM OF THE FIFTH INNING

 

Olivo popped out (bunt) to the catcher

Moehler grounded out to third, 5-3

Ramirez grounded an IF single to shortstop

Uggla tripled off the left field wall, Ramirez scored

Jacobs doubled to the right field corner, Uggla scored

Cabrera walked (intentionally)

Borchard homered to right center field, Jacobs & Cabrera scored

Hermida grounded out to short, 6-3

 

5 runs, 4 hits, 0 errors, 0 men left on base
