conspiracy alert: how is MLB getting the juiciest of juiced-up baseballs to the pitcher every time pujols comes up? in order to get rid of bonds' single-season HR record ASAP. i mean we all figured pujols for future HOF after his first few years, but wow, this. ok back to cubs-land.

You should post this in Rivials. It will drive the Cardinal fans stark raving mad. K-town will probably pee himself while typing.

With good reason, it's a friggin' ridiculous assertion.

Cubs are showing tremendous discipline. Moehler has thrown 31 pitches in three innings. At this rate, they'll get to the Marlins' bullpen around th 13th.

Over the last 5 games, the CUBS are averaging 2.86 P/PA. So far... they're at 2.81 today.

Go CUBS !!

Uggla.

Marlin's anouncers talking about how sometimes a team's negative play with injured players can keep the manager around for another extension.

Please Jebus no.

We are about to be swept by a pretty decent AAA team. I know how embarrassed I am - can no one at the major league level be embarrased by this???

I'm just amazed how deep rock bottom is. We just keep on sinking...

I posted this at the end of yesterdays game thread, but here it is again.

If we lose today, we'll be 18-28. The exact same record as 2002 on the same date. Don Baylor was fired on July 5th, 2002.

Thats an eerie similarity.

So I'm guessing Dusty should book the moving vans for July 6th .

Of course it is, but the way I see it, it will keep them busy for a while and I will get a laugh at how serious they will take it.

It's like cubbierich's ridiculous Pujols is a coward thread. Reading that is high commedy

That is pretty strange. Let's hope the same thing happens in 2006.

We discourage trolling on this board, and what you described is pretty much the definition of it.

Sportsline erroneously claims that the Cubs actually came through. Just wanted to come on here and confirm the error.
