Come on Vance.....even u know that VORP is skewed as a metric in this case......but I do agree some Yankee-hatred factored into the vote.....however as an impartial observer Morneau was statistically better then Jeter In what way? Jeter was better in runs created and win shares. If you only think in terms of power numbers, then maybe, but there's more to creating runs than just hitting home runs. If that's the case, there were much better choices than Morneau. I respectfully disagree.....VORP does not take into account line-up and/or line-up changes.....the fact remains that Morneau has a Production Factor of 28% vs. Jeters 23%.....what position said player plays in this case is irrelevant......just my opinion and of course I could be wrong.
