As has been mentioned in the past, the last time the Cubs were 18-28 (.391 %)was on this date in 2002. The difference is they were in the middle of a 5 game winning streak to get to that record. Their winning percentage dropped a bit from there, then settled around the .400 mark the rest of the year.

I'd rather watch a 24-hour Elmo marathon than this bunch of steaming waste of a baseball team right now...

I'm really starting to enjoy watching this team again!!!

I want them to suffer demoralizing losses in every game.

I want to see Dusty pushed into a corner by reporters at every turn.

I want to see him squirm as he runs out of excuses.

I want Dusty Baker to go insane, as I have.

To keep us consistent, the team really needs to start considering using the forfiet, based upon who the starting pitcher is. It would make the season a lot more bearable.

I just got in. How did we screw up?

We were up 3-1, 2 outs none on in the bottom of the 5th, Cedeno short hops a throw to walker resulting in an IF hit (that should have been an error), and carnage ensues, the Marlins scored 5 times.

Thanks...that was more info than I had.

On the bright side, the Cubs are #5 in MLB in defensive efficiency, ahead of the #6 White Sox.

We finished last year at #13.

Hendry's offseason magic did improve the defense.

Cedeno error that they ruled a single for some stupid reason. Led to 5 runs.

Sounds sorta familiar against these same Marlins??

I really wish I didn't have tickets to this Saturday's game and the game on June 17th.

Burn them.

I had bleacher tickets to the game on the 17th, and I just gave them away to a buddy of mine who lives in Chicago. No way I'm traveling 4 hours to watch this train wreck.

So I take it everyone will be blaming this loss on Cedeno, huh?

The season is young, I'm sure that stat will find itd way down the tubes too.
