Lose tomorrow and deal off ARam for Brandon Wood and Dallas McPherson.

Of course, Z will win one.

No.

Why not?

Whats the scouting on Wood and McPherson. I would never trade Ramriez, but I still want to know.

I don't think the Angels woud do that trade.

The Angels organization is worse about instilling the concept of OBP in their prospects than are the Cubs.

I cant believe I'm saying this, I wish we had signed Sammy Sosa in the off-season. At least he's a guy with fire.

The Angels don't make that trade. No way, no how.

Why would you never trade ARam? He's slow, he is very streaky, he gets injured a lot, is constantly getting small injuries that limit his ability, and he has dodged accusations of dogging it, going back to his Pittsburgh days.

The Pirates are coming, tra-la tra-la.

LOL. Everyone's talking about how many games back the Cubs are, but I've been watching how many back of us the Pirates are.

Finishing last might cause changes to be made.

I want to see Mabry as a catcher, Walker at first, Hairston at 2B, Cedeno at SS, Ramirez at 3B... Nothing other than that in the infield while Barrett is out.

the cubs are outhitting the white sox, but losing by seven.

yeah, this team doesn't need to start drawing more walks.

and Rich Hill needs to stop giving them up...

I finally saw the AJ/Barrett confrontation.

Barrett totally pulled the punch. He'll get a big suspension, but he didn't hit AJ very hard at all.

It's not just lack of walks, it's a complete lack of power.

But we can score so many different ways now!

Of course, power helps produce walks. Pierre's going to see a lot more strikes than Jim Thome or Bobby Abreu.

But, as many often point out, it's an organizational problem, too.

The Cubs led the majors at swinging at the first pitch in 2004 and 2005.

Trade Ramirez? Sure.

Baker has taken a promising period of Cubs baseball and flushed it down the toilet. Time to blow it up and start again.

So, Garcia is at 107 pitches, does he get the complete game?

Usually Ozzie holds his starters to a strict 110 pitch limit. We'll see. I'd bring in someone from the pen.

Well, i'm coming in a bit late on the fight discussion, but this is my take:

-AJP is an ass.

-There is no way AJP could have know wher that ball was at

-He should NOT have plowed into barrett the way he did--thats something you do when the catcher has the ball in his hands. And afterwards, you act like a grown up, and dont slap the plate.

-AJP is an ass for slapping the plate the way he did

-Barrett is now my hero for jacking that prick in the face

-Barrett probably shouldnt have punched him and will now pay the price (5-10 games?)

-I am really not looking forward to the next 5-10 games w/out barrett

-I am REALLY not looking forward to all the bandwagon Sox fans at school on monday "D00D AJP IS A GRATE GUY WOO DIDINT DU NOTHIN RONG! HI WAZ PLAING HARD BAEZBOL! AND BARRET TOTALLY GOT HIZ AZZ KICKED!!! LOL!"

-It makes me smile that the cubs, if nothing else, are good fighters. Farnz owned Wilson. Barrett Owned AJP and whoever that was on deck. Neither Farns or Barrett took a shot.

-The cubs REALLY freakin suck. SCORE YOU LOSERS.

Sorry to be such a pain, can anyone give me a quick recap?

I know there was a brawl between Pierzinski and Barrett, what happened? How was Hill? What happened to Ramirez?

Thanks in advance.

I've been as critical of Baker as anyone and I still think he needs to go, but I don't think anything will make this team any better. Honestly who could win with this bunch of crap?

I know I'm beating a dead horse, but Baker is part of the reason that the team is inadequate. He asked for many of the players he has now. He rides he starters too hard - especially in 2003 when Prior was what, 22 years old? Or was he 23?

It sickens me that injuries are being used as an excuse when Baker probaby played a part in some of those injuries.
