Offense for the Sox..

They have 5 guys batting over .300. We have none.

They have nobody batting under .243. We have four.

We need the tough Maddux today, but what good will that do with this offense?

The way that inning went, this could be ugly.

Buerhle lives and dies on the corners and low in the strike zone as well, if he's forced to get his pitches up, he's little more than a BP pitcher.

If you are waiting for Cintron to leave the ball in his glove a little longer you are going to be waiting a long time because it doesn't stay in there long.

That makes no sense whatsoever. This radio guy gives off the aura of a guy who thinks he's just a total dude.

Jesus, Barrett is the only guy on our team who would start for these guys. Nice job Jim Hendry.

last February or so, I said to myself

Z > Buerle

Prior > Garcia

Wood > Garland

Maddux = Contreras

Rusch/Williams < Vazquez

the bullpen, no question about it, Cubs better

Lee > Konerko

Walker > Iguchi

Cedeno =/> Uribe

Aram > Crede

Murton > Anderson

Pierre = Podsednik

Jones = Dye

the bench/DH, Sox unquestionably better.

hasn't exactly worked out that way

That's presuming the Cubs take pitches. Highly doubtful.

Man, I wish I could hear the boos when Neifi comes up...

He'll probably get cheers today. From fans of "the other team"

Shoot, that's right. Not at Wrigley..

How can Baker possibly justify putting two automatic outs in the bottom of the lineup? You'd think having a DH would give you the option of increasing your lineup's potency.

Instead, he starts Neifi and Blanco. I know that Barrett is an average defender at best, but the .630 difference in OPS has to make up for it. Then, well, never mind.

Baker doesn't really have many options, I suppose, but there are better options than that.

You should get your "Dusty fired" wish soon if this continues.

Jones < Dye

Dye was surprisingly good last year and has kept it up so far this year. It was either him or Burnitz in 05...

What happened in that half inning? I missed it because I blinked. Can somebody give me a recap?

Cubs conceded the inning like a golfer in a skins match. By rule Buerhle had to make 8 warmup pitches then go back in.

unfortunately neither our hitters, nor the umpire will force him to do either.

Well, a professional MLB team would take advantage of this situation of course, we know the Cubs are far from such a team.
