Did Hughes just say Lee is "at least 3 weeks from playing in an actual game?"

I mean, I know he said "at least," but that still seems pretty optimistic.

Lee will get his small cast off around June 1 and was quoted yesterday as saying he doesn't even want any rehab starts. 3 weeks may be just about right, though I assume they won't let him rush things that much.

June 13th possibly.

I like this little nugget from the article...

The Cubs signed second baseman Tony Womack to a minor-league contract. The veteran was released April 24 by the Reds after had hit just .222 with three RBIs in nine games.

Womack gets released after hitting only .222 in 9 games. But Neifi, hitting .197, plays and plays and plays. 71 ABs and counting. And you wonder why the Reds are ahead of the Cubs in the standings.

We can put a man on the moon, but........

In one of the worst uses of that stupid phrase, the other White Sox announcer said,

...but we're still dragging our luggage through the airport.

These guys are unbelievable.

3 run bomb here

Glass half full.

Shouldn't Ozzie be calling for a sac bunt here, you know, to maximize chances of scoring a run?

Can someone please inform the Cub hitters that this Ump's strike zone is the size of Pierre' OBP? And, if they TAKE some pitches they'll get some baserunners - you know, what runs come from...
