Swing and a line drivvvvvvveeeeeeeeee pause pause pause caught by the third baseman, he robbed him.

How much of a liner, and how robbed could he be if it took that long?

It was a line drive. Ramirez jumped so high that it took 2.4 seconds for him to come back to the ground.

Seriously, for a slow loafy guy, Ramirez can really jump.

That sounds mildly entertaining in a weird way.

Is the strike zone small today? It isn't like Greg to fall behing 2-0 to three hitters in a row.

Yes -- some very questionable balls early on....

Anyone know where the strike zone is today?

It appears there is no outside corner.

There were some pretty inconsistent calls in the top of the 1st, but Vanover missed two pretty clear strikes so far.

The strike zone is apparently going to be very small today.... not good for Maddux.

Well, at least it should be small for both teams, right?

Oh wait, that won't really matter because the Cubs won't lay off those pitches anyway.

Ump is definitely calling the high strike. I'd be mad if I were Thome.

Why cause you were on the Sox? That pitch was right down the middle.

It's always nice to come back from class and see the Cubs winning.

But it's not nice to see the Cubs give away the lead right when I get back.
