No bunt?

If he bunted it would go 2 feet. It took a full swing to get the ball half way to 3rd.

I meant Hairy. I thought for sure he'd be sac bunting.

AJ with a Jacque Jones-like throw to first means Hairston and Pierre are at 2nd and 3rd.

He did sac-bunt didn't he?

These radio guys are brutal. Their monotone jibber jabber is almost impossible to follow.

I guess it was a sac bunt. He could have been bunting for a hit.

Apparently the Cubs will continue to employ the strategy of counting on other team's mistakes to score runs. About as sound a theory as anything else they're doing right now.

Little league strategy for a little league team.

I think Buerhle is jittery because we've been WREAKING HAVOC on the basepaths. WREAKING HAVOC. Havoc, I tell you.

cheapseats, I'm not going to get to watch the game for another 20 minutes or so. Can you tell me.....hows the FIRE! and INTENSITY! look out there today?

What was that thing that ARam just did????????

He not hustled to first.

I was actually referring to the four balls he took to get to 1st base. Didn't know the Cubs were still allowed to do that. :D

Now the fun begins...can't wait to see who will be the first Sox player to ask to check the ball...

God, this would be GREAT if it were at Wrigley, and Buehrle had to bat! Dang!

CUBS are 14-5 when they score first in the game.... 3-18 when they don't

CUBS are 10-3 when they score in the first inning.... 7-20 when they don't

Go CUBS !!

Good to see Dusty is starting to get through to Murton.

Beat me to it. He should have been looking at a 2-1 count after strike three.

Walker said something to the umpire during his at-bat. That's INTENSITY!, but that's the Moises Alou-type intensity that we don't want on this team. If Walker had kicked an object in the dugout and broken his foot, that also would have been showing intensity, but that would be Kyle Farnsworth-like intensity, and we don't want that either.

I have yet to notice any FIRE! at this point in the game.

Hairston, however, has shown he is a GAMER by helping to MANUFACTURE A RUN by PLAYING THE GAME THE RIGHT WAY. SMALL BALL!
