5 runs will not be enough to win the game today. Don't worry about it yet, Cubs fans.

GO CUBS!

Please explain why you think that the Cobs will score 5 runs against a pretty good pitcher, especially since they cant hit lefties if their lives depended on it.

Team speed. With guys like Pierre and Hairston at the top of the order, we can score runs faster than you can blink an eye.

GO CUBS!

Please tell me you're joking...

So, who gets to come out and pour lighter fluid over this game when Maddux is done?

Rusch?

Let's hope so.

Plus the speed of Cedeno and Perez at the bottom of the lineup.

Mark my words, small ball will win this game.

I'd pay good money to see Ozzie Guillen put Baker in a headlock and pound on him, Nolan Ryan-style.

Maybe then some sense would be knocked into Dusty.

Dusty does not condone violence. It would embarass his family.

Of course. He's got toothpicks to use as weapons. It wouldn't be close.

Our manager can kick their managers ass. Nah, nah, nah nah. Thats about the only thing we can hang our hat on Dusty and these Cubs.

Can someone please inform the Cub hitters that this Ump's strike zone is the size of Pierre' OBP? And, if they TAKE some pitches they'll get some baserunners - you know, what runs come from...

here's a fun fact. of the first 16 batters the Cubs have sent to the plate, 10 of them have had a first pitch strike called on them.

Maddux? 2 up until this inning.

The strange thing about today is that Vanover doesn't historically have such a tight strike zone. His SO/BB ratios aren't usually very extreme compared to the rest of the umpires in the league.
