Can someone give me a quick recap of what I've missed so far in today's game?

You missed Maddux being old maddux and our offense returning to its usual self. Not much else.

By old Maddux, do you mean the previous two years version of Maddux?

Here comes Rusch. This should be fun.

Makes sense to bring him in with Thome at the plate. This way we get that all important lefty-lefty matchup.

Rusch owns Thome.

You know the ump was bad if Maddux actually made a point of saying something to him. I wish he would have reamed him on the way to the dugout. Show some of that FIRE and INTENSITY!!! :D

*sigh* I just looked at the lineup.

I knew Dusty would play Neifi today, even after his insanely stupid play to lose the game yesterday. I just KNEW it.

Here's a good question; which team has more, the White Sox with overachievers, or the Cubs with underachievers?

Who is an underachiever on the Cubs? Ramirez, I guess? This team just flat sucks. They've not underachieving. They're just bad. "Underachieving" connotes that they should be playing better. They shouldn't.

Dude, that's the bad kind of FIRE! and INTENSITY! The good kind is what happens in the clubhouse, when the manager kicks some butt and the team suddenly starts playing better or when the players hold a closed door meeting and decide to stop sucking.

Pierre is really falling short of his projections, although Aramis is far more important than Pierre.

I could go for a good ol fashion bench clearing brawl. Something to fire up this team.

Fire isn't what this team needs. Good players is what they need.

With the collection nancy speed demons that Hendry has collected, do you really think they'd do well in a brawl against Jenks/Konerko/Thome/Crede/etc.?

How about a fire in the clubhouse?

That' might work. Then they could collect the $100 million in insurance and actually build a good ball club.
