Wow. BSU in a bowl? Hoke is turning it around, huh?

I remember when they went to the tourney a few years ago. The place was crazy.

 

Was that the year they went nuts and beat all those teams in Maui?

Indeed it was. Beat I believe Duke and UCLA before losing to Kansas. Or something like that.

 

Beat UCLA and Kansas, lost to Duke in the Finals. Was a close game until about 8 minutes left. That was the 2001-2002 season. They went to the NIT that year.

 

1999-2000 was when BSU made it to the tournament. Lost to UCLA in the first round.

Northwestern could've pretty much sealed up the game if they scored on that drive there...they went for it on 4th and 1 at the Illinois 5 and came up short. 31-21 Northwestern late in the 3rd.

Great game at Texas Tech! TT down 4 with under a minute to go on fourth down, Hodges throws a pass that gets batted at the line, ends up in OU's hands and a TT wide receiver takes it out of his hands and gets the first down. They drive downfield, on the 3 yard line with 4 seconds left, TT opts to RUN the football, the running back gets stopped, but falls on his own players leg and stretches the ball over the line. TT wins 23-21.

Ball State loses to CMU 31-24 in overtime to end the season 4-7. So much for ending on a 4 game win streak.

 

In fairness, BSU played perhaps the hardest schedule in the history of any MAC team this year, with three nightmare road nonconference games, no games against creampuff Buffalo or Kent State, and with the exception of Eastern Michigan, every Cardinal opponent this season has a .500 or better record.

 

ND leads the Cuse 14-3, and their defense has been dominant. Not surprising since the Irish have scored more 2nd quarter points than Cuse has any points at all.

I looooove that prevent defense. Bottle a team up for 2.5 straight quarters then as soon as you need to close the game out you give them all the yards they need

Yeah I agree, the prevent defense is one of the worst things in football, besides the naked screen and a team who never uses the I-Formation (oh hey Mizzou does both of those :-\)

Brad Smith runs it in from 1 yard out with 2 seconds left in the half. 21-14 Mizzou!

 

The game's not on TV, is it?

 

No I'm getting updates on Yahoo.com. It's really slow, but it gets the job done.

 

Can't get KMOX back home? AM 1120 if you can get it. Penalties galore, yet Mizzou's up a TD at the half. Coffman and Rucker have both been great thus far.

Hilarious. The Syracuse receiver juggles the ball right into the hands of Leo Ferrine, who takes it back 16 yards for the score. 21-3 Irish. This team is far inferior to the Navy team ND played last week.
