Anyone think Auburn could potentially jump Oregon and/or ND in the new BCS? They stand to gain quite a bit in the computer polls, which have been harsh on them to this point(17th last week).

Wouldn't be surprised if ND got jumped by both Auburn and Oregon in the BCS, really. Although as long as the Irish are top 12, I don't care.

Wouldn't be surprised if ND got jumped by both Auburn and Oregon in the BCS, really. Although as long as the Irish are top 12, I don't care.

 

ND will probably get jumped by Oregon, IMO. However with Bama losing, it will not affect ND's spot. Like you said though, as long as they are in the top 12, its OK with me.

When they say that football is a game of inches, they are truly right. If Asaph Schwapp does not fumble the football at the goal line against MSU (or if the refs blow the play dead, as they should have, although still no excuse for Asaph), then ND probably wins that game, and we're not having this argument, as a 10-1 ND team with the only loss being the USC game would be a shoo-in.

 

If Carr doesn't get the 2 seconds added on, PSU's probably unbeaten and beating down the door for a Rose Bowl berth.

 

If Bush doesn't push Leinart, Texas is the only unbeaten and we have an absolute mess. (And probably a Texas/ND title game)

 

If Miami's FG holder does not flub a snap, then the Canes are unbeaten and also beating down the door for a Rose Bowl berth.

 

It's kind of amazing if you think about it.

 

You can also add if LSU didn't totally collapse in the second half against Tennesee to your "what ifs" as well.
