I remember playing OK when they stunk and we still couldn't beat them. First game we lost because our team celebrated a TD near the end of the game...first time that rule was invoked...and OK kicked a 47 yard FG at the horn to win. Second we just could not stop their power rushing game. That's all they could do but we could not stop it.

 

Moral of the story....if UCLA can't stop the rush you have a chance.

Mind you, most of LA is hyping this game up to be UCLA's second biggest game of the year, especially given the way the offense has succeeded the past two games (against far inferior opponents compared to OU). If UCLA loses this game, I think it's the beginning of the end for Karl Dorrell.

i'll be at NIU watching the Huskies put a beat down on I-AA Tennessee Tech.

 

go Illini as well, very tough task though with Tedford's Golden Bears. Also best of luck to Northwestern against Arizona St. tomorrow.

That game is being telecast on ESPN Classic. For some reason I don't normally think of IU-UK football and "classic" in the same breath. :D

Michigan is 14 now, that would mean MSU is near top ten. Please. Drew Stanton is an underatted qb and i give them that but they have played 2 crappy teams. As much as i rant about Michigan's defense MSU's is awful. Their DLine will get pounded into submission tomorrow vs ND. If MSU wins and they can win its because of Drew Stanton and his offense.

GO PURDUE!!! beat the Arizona Wildcats. I have been looking forward to this one ever since I moved to Tucson 4 years ago.

That's about the whole of it. They need to be the college version of the pre-Dungy Colts to win. Score all the time so that your defense doesn't get on the field.

Corso also said ND would start 0-6. After they beat Pitt he said they would start 1-5. The next week he picked them to beat UM! I think 'ol scooter has lost it! I wouldn't be surprised to him pick MSU to win, especially since he said this week that ND will undefeated playing USC on 10-15. MSU does worry me though. I am so used to ND losing a game like this after a big win. I hope Weis changes that.

UK has played 2 of the 1st 3 on ESPN Classic, somehow they didn't show them playing Idaho St.?

It's easy to always be right when you refuse to acknowledge anything you've said previously.

 

As for me, I'm sitting 50 yard line at Beaver Stadium today as the Nittany Lions will likely move to 3-0 at the expense of the Central Michigan Chippewas. And it will be the most meaningless 3-0 ever, as it will have come at the expense of three lousy teams. Next week at Northwestern and the week after at home vs. OSU will tell how good this team actually is.

UCLA's best WR, Junior Taylor hurts himself pretty badly after making a nice first down catch in the first 15 seconds of the game. It looked like a nasty little knee injury, I don't think he's coming back today. :(
