I may be wrong but I also think he had talked to Washington long before it was decided that he was going to leave ND. You're not wrong, although that might be a rumor. I also heard that the administration offered Ty the chance to stay if he got rid of his worthless coordinators, and he wouldn't. I'll give Ty credit for his loyalty to them, but I'm not going to cry tears for a guy who played the violin on the Titanic when there was a life raft right next to him. Again, both of those things could definitely just be rumors, though. Like Ty squeezing in a quick 72 holes every week...
