Just got back from Mizzou's smack down of Troy. Much better than last week.

Chase Coffman is my new favorite college player.

 

While I really like Coffman, my favorite is Crossett. I wanted Coffman to lay out that defensive back that was jawing with him so badly though. He had about 7 inches and 30 pounds on the guy.

 

EDIT: This week's sign of the apocolypse. Brad Smith took a snap under center. :shock:

 

I love Crossett's kickoffs. The spiral is so sideways that the returner almost never catches it in the air.

Anyone see the end of the Nebraska-Pitt game? Pitt lines up for a FG, down 7-6. The holder wasn't ready for the snap, apparently, and the ball hit him smack in the head. It was hilarious to watch in slow motion. The kicker or holder recovered and threw the ball away - apparently it wasn't a 4th down, so Pitt got to try the FG again. This time, their FG was blocked, and Pitt falls to 0-3 after a 7-6 loss.

Wow, that collapse may have topped last year's Michigan game if they hadn't pulled it out in OT.

That Notre Dame game went about like I expected although I didn't see a ton of it. MSU's defense is pretty weak (and ND's isn't exactly great) but both have very good offenses. We got fairly lucky on the scheduling that we miss out on MSU this year and next, so we don't have to face Stanton again.

 

I didn't see the Oklahoma game, but I'm surprised they lost by 3 scores if Bomar had such a solid game. I'm guessing UCLA was just determined not to let AD beat them. Coming into this year I thought they could finish 2nd in the PAC 10, but wasn't so sure about Dorrell. They have some serious talent on both sides of the ball though.

 

I really wish Clemson would have held off Miami.

Bomar had a solid second half passing, but the fumbles really killed him. Most of his completions came on the drives OU scored. To be fair to Adrian Peterson, he was injured most of the game (hamstring).

Worst coaching staff in the nation, UK fans will use the injury excuse as well as the sanctions instead of lack of preparation and fundamentals.
