You shut your mouth when you're talking to me

[Irrelevant Dude]

There's the extra base hit!

[UMFan83]

It’s midnight! October baseball (in Chicago at least)

cmon Cubs don’t tire out Miller

[SparkMark1]

horsefeathers baseball

horsefeathers the Cubs

See you all next year!

[Wilson A2000]

[Tangled Up in Plaid]

Kelly the last out two years in a row. That must suck

[Irrelevant Dude]

The clock strikes midnight... Literally and figuratively.

[UMFan83]

So glad we gave up 2 Top 100 prospects for healthy pitchers who didn’t even pitch this series

[JHBulls]

That series was horsefeathers. horsefeathers.

[Tryptamine]

Good riddance, what a bunch of unlikable choke artists. By the way, super glad Jed gave up a top 50 prospect for a guy who didn't throw a pitch in the playoffs.

[Irrelevant Dude]

Nice series Nico.

Everyone else, not so much.

And Jed, you suck.

[Stratos]

Somebody start the offseason thread.

[Tryptamine]

We're still in small sample size territory,  but early results are leaning towards PCA is ass in the playoffs.

c'mon man

[abuck1220]

only reason we know PCA sucked in the playoffs is because PCA dragged them into the playoffs. these horsefeathers losers would have a been a 79 win without him.

Carlos Marmol reference!

I have a Marmol jersey

[mk49]

Nico was the only one who didn't suck.  I guess Seiya was OK.  Nico was actually awesome 2 years in a row.

The best offense in 2026 scored only 1 run in the playoffs.

Thus far its true. As I said, small sample, it's 37 PAs I believe,  but he has undoubtedly sucked in those 37.

[abuck1220]

so annoyed nico got that xbh in the 9th. zero xbh for the series would have better emphasized how pathetic they were.

Wild Card round is ass this year. Three uncompetitive sweeps.

I rather the WC Round go back to being the 1 game "Do or Die" variety instead of the best of three crap.

if they insist on the WC round, i'd rather have them cut the season by a week and make all the playoff series 4/7. two ****** games and your season is over f'n sucks

[Irrelevant Dude]

I seriously don't know how the Cubs fix this.  Realistically, PCA isn't going to repeat what he did this year, and there are gaping holes at LF, RF, possibly C, and the entire pitching staff.  The team is going to look a lot different next year, and probably not for the better.

I think we could have taken them in a Best of 13.

[Irrelevant Dude]

Counsell thinks "we've raised the bar."

That narrative worked last year, but I'm not buying it this time
