Something finally went the Rays way this series. Seems like every bounce has favored Milwaukee. A pair of 1 run wins and Game 3 was very nearly only 2-0 going to the bottom of the 5th.

I don't feel bad for those goofs who paid $200 +  to watch the Brewers lose on a jumbotron at American Family Field

is that what they were charging to get in? jesus

Yeah I was figuring like $20. Plus all the food and alcohol sales, its a cash grab. Im surprised PTR didn't do something similar at Wrigley in 2016

The fans were right there, standing in the street.

My god Wisconsin fans are soft. One thing doesn't go their way and you can feel the depression wafting through the TV screen this morning. Murphy did the right thing. Don't burn Miz trying to hold that one run lead. Take Ashby out after 30 or so pitches. If you shoot those bullets and still lose, you don't get them back.

While, of course, better than the Cubs, the Rays pitching is reminiscent in they, like the Cubs, are lacking in stuff. Velocity plays big time in the PS and Rays don't have it, I was shocked they won last night.  Credit to them for giving the Brewers a little of their own medicine.  Think the Brewers will wrap it up tonight.

how do we feel about current mlb players going to their former mlb team's playoff games and cheering them on?

i'm torn on this. do i think it's cool that former rays are rooting for them in person? yeah. would i be fine with a current cubs player going to one of their former team's playoff games and rooting them on? seriously doubt it.

at the end of the day, (most) mlb players are fans of baseball so i get it. but also the optics are really weird.

The gouging by Brewer's ownership has been, as JD would say, egregious.  $800 for SRO tickets from the box office, $125 to park, and every other little thing they could max profit off of they have.  Act like you're going to be back again if you think you're that good you clowns.

I feel a little bad for Cooper Pratt. You hit a home run that would have been shown for decades if the Brewers close out Game 4 and now it’s going to be largely forgotten except among Brewers fans.

The Brewers also get the taxpayers to help them out.

Funny, for a split second yesterday they showed the back of the Brewers dugout and a dude that kinda looked like Craig Counsell was there(it wasn't him obviously) but I am ok with players there in the stands. Maybe they are still friends with some of the current players.

It's a good question. I think ultimately I would be alright with it, but I'm also glad the question isn't coming up for us.

I'd probably be annoyed if, for example, Nico Hoerner was in the stands cheering on the Brewers. But other than a specific situation like that, I couldn't care less.

That’s the most 2026 thing I have ever read lol. The Cleveland fans in Progression Field during Game 3 of the 2016 WS paid a $5 “donation” to get in.

Doesn’t MLB set playoff ticket prices? I know my World Series ticket at Wrigley was less than $400. And I am in row 8 in the 200 section behind home plate. How are Brewer SRO selling at the box office for $800?

I'm sure those guys have friends on those teams. The reality is the MLB is a sort of fraternity. It's a group of people who have gone through things together for years through an organization; some of them for years before they even make the MLB through the system or college. I have zero issue with baseball players rooting for their friends' teams when theirs is eliminated.

I would love to see Willson Contreras back at Wrigley rooting on the Cubs to win if he had friends still on the team. I wouldn't care if Dansby Swanson was rooting his friends on if the Braves were in the World Series. It isn't like Tyler Glasnow is wearing a Rays hat when pitching against Tampa in the WS or anything. Or like he's flown across the country mid-Dodgers' series.

on the flip side, my former HS baseball coach and I are still good friends, he was only about 22-23 years old when he coached us. He is from Wisconsin and a huge Brewers fan. I, for one, enjoyed going over why Misory would be a smart choice for them when Ashby came in, and then why pitching Ashby might have saved Misory for Game 5 but likely took Ashby out of Game 5. So in other words, while the Brewers lost their opportunity to slam the door on the Rays, they also potentially created an epic comeback in the making for the Rays in the series. While this is unlikely to be true (brewers in 6 imo), it was still fun to hear a long suffering Brewer fan bemoan all the failings of the organization in the matter of 10 minutes afterwards.

If the Brewers lose tonight and that's a big if. I think Tampa has a shot at a Red Sox like comeback.  Even with game 6 and 7 in Milwaukee
