Wasn't Boyd basically doing the same thing outside of his last start? Shota has been good but can also rapidly explode at anytime. Gausman has been just as inconsistent as Holmes. I dunno, they all kinda are just coin flips at any given start.

4.44 BB/9 as a cub, including today.  He has the highest walk rate and the lowest K rate in our rotation.  I care less about the K rate, because of his high GB rate, but the walk is an issue.  Also, 8.00+ ERA in Sep doesn't look good.

I'm a big fan of "big picture stuff" but right now, Nico is certainly on the struggle bus. Really bad job there overall by Bregman and Nico.

I read before it because he changed his mechanics to try and catch balls out in front of plate more to try and generate more power
