I don’t know. I think the swelling could cause a problem. I am sure they will do everything they can to bring it down, but that eye doesn’t look good. Hope you are right and it is him coming back for the last 3 games. If not, by the 29th.

I thought about this the other day. I would say if there is nothing to play for I wouldn’t mind them doing this. But I doubt they do. Basically, if any outfielder or the DH gets on first any inning you put PCA in to run. Then he takes over that spot in the line up. Give him a guaranteed one time on first. Hope he gets it at Wrigley. But aren’t the Marlins good at stopping the runnnng game?

Especially when a LHB is up (if your on deck circle is on 3B side)  Just asking to be drilled, I'm surprised it doesnt happen more.

He was in front of the on deck circle but I'm sure they dragged it closer to the plate.  It seemed obnoxiously close.  They need to paint the circle in, to hell with these movable circle mats.

True story, in high school I fouled a ball towards the dugout and hit the head coach's girlfriend in the head and she had stitch marks from the baseball imprinted on her forehead for days.

In a thread full of sad sacks, this is the most hyperbolic post of the thread. The Cubs won and have practically clinched a playoff spot, Bregman doesn't have any broken bones, Caleb's injury isn't a torn Achilles (so likely not season ending) and happened week 2, the Bears nearly won a game that needed one of about 10 things to break their way and just didn't in the sloppiest environment imaginable.

Meanwhile, there have been days in Chicago sports history that include a thrown World Series that broke the White Sox franchise for decades, a 108 year championship gap, and a career ending injury to the reigning MVP that not only destroyed the Bulls season, it destroyed the next 15 years of the franchise.
