Bregman's gonna finish as a top-10 fWAR player.

If you took PCA off the team and replaced all of his PAs with Joe ReplacementPlayer, the cubs offensive group would still be the best in baseball. Now, they’d probably be an average team overall (a standard first place offense and near last place pitching would average there) but we probably don’t have to group the lineup into the ‘bums’ category

Like, being a 51% three point shooter doesn’t mean you pull up from 25 every time down

Steph would pull up from the logo if he was being guarded by one of the worst players in the league.

PCA is something to watch. Not sure what else can be said. He’s an absolute dynamo. It’s like that skills guy with all the potential in the world.  And every ounce of that potential is realized.

Or if PCA just improved a little offensively from last year they would probably be a low 8O’s to 85 win team. Good offense, great defense and horrible pitching. He is amazing, but the rest of the team doesn’t suck.

I would say he has reached his 100% potential. And he is only 24.

I think Shota has pitched himself into the discussion of who starts in the playoffs. At least if they face a team bad against lefties. And if it is in Wrigley with the wind blowing in, he would probably be a good choice. How crazy would it be if we face a bad team against lefties if the Cubs went Boyd, Peterson and Shota? Save Holmes in the event we win the series and face Milwaukee. I am sure that wouldn’t happen, just a crazy thought.

So was it the pitch lab that identified all Shota needed was a haircut to find his mojo?

The haircut + the weird looking high targeting thing by Amaya and Kelly.

Not crazy at all.  Peterson has been great in the 2nd half.  Shota pitched well 3 games in a row.  Boyd is the only one who needs to pitch better.

104 RBI and 114 RS, 21.75% of team total run production is a good chunk of their offense by 1 player

Exactly how did you come up with 21.75%. Cubs scored over 800 runs. PCA scored 114. Cubs drove in 770 runs, PCA drove in 104.
