I’m not saying I want Miz to need TJS at all but it’s crazy how this dude throws 102+ MPH consistently and no issues while our most promising pitchers:

Steele hasn’t pitched in almost 2 seasons due to TJS

Horton is out all this year and part of next year with his second TJS

Brown has a mysterious neck injury that has taken him out 70% of the last 2 years

Not fair I tell ya

Tip: with 2 strikes he’s going to throw gas above the zone.  Don’t swing.

Exactly.

They probably have another Miz coming up through the ranks too.  100+ MPH continues to be more common.

Ok, I keep hearing that a relief pitcher HAS to be able to pitch back to back days to be useful and I'm getting a little tired of that narrative.

There are 8+ guys in a bullpen.  Is it really that critical that every single guy has to be able to pitch back to back?  I understand that ideally everyone in the pen is available everyday, but that seems to be oversimplifying things a bit.  I think you can afford to carry a reliever that can't pitch back to back if they can be a productive pitcher once every 2-3 days.

Having 8 guys in the pen, unless theyre a closer or setup guy, there shouldn't be a need to having to go with a guy back to back often.

Of course unless you have a rotation that cant go 6 innings consistent enough

lol PCA didnt steal a base for like a month and then he got to 40 HRs and suddenly he just auto goes on first pitch

I’m guessing he maybe wasn’t going as much to avoid making an out while Seiya was on a good power run, but he pretty much makes it easily every time. always annoyed me when he’d get on and not go.

oh cool amaya sucks at hitting AND challenges.
