It's the old "why exactly is he here if not to play in those spots" thing. You could still have the quick hook when the Reds bring in a righty, too

From the broadcast, Pete went from 0-2 to a walk twice last season and has done it 3 times in the last 4 games, and 7 this season. Remarkable
