hearing boog saying hitting balls at better angles for the 50 millionth time is why I want game audio without broadcasters

Or just get rid of Boog and his useless yapping the whole game

Listening to Boog and JD talking about Shota’s increase in ground ball outs. Explain it to me like I’m 5: Why would that be a bad thing for Imanaga?

They traded for a 4-5 win baseball player who put up 4.5 wins and we won home field advantage for the wild card by 2 games and then won that series and it was really cool. I know that stuff is in the past and therefore doesn’t matter or whatever, but we really need to stop fetishizing banking future wins at the expense of being good now. Bellinger at $25m vs Tucker (a better player) at $16m is maybe Matt Boyd in terms of the difference in salary.

Nobody is fetishizing - at least I'm not -  having Smith as a trade chip could help make the Cubs better now not in the future and it's not a meritless argument that they ultimately weren't any better off with Tucker.

They won 92 games with a 4.5 win right fielder. If it’s World Series or bust, fine, then the people who complain about everything will be proven right 97% of the time. But it was very cool having those three playoff games at wrigley and winning the series and Tucker was absolutely a key part of that.

Isn't it WS or bust when you trade away your top prospects for a year of a player, or rental piece at deadline ?

Im not upset they traded Cam Smith but when you trade a top prospect for a player, you'd like it to be for a player with control in return or a rental player that helps gets you to the LCS or WS at least

They already had a 4+ RF and they didn't trade for Tucker hoping for a 4.5 win season.
