It's going to be fun when the Brewers take the division again after losing several major pieces and having significant early season injury issues. Meanwhile the team with the roughly $100M payroll advantage seems to make up zero ground.

What major pieces have they lost besides Peralta?

Caleb Durbin, Isaac Collins and Nick Mears were all significant contributors. None of them had FBF's stature and none of them are doing much this year, but last year they played important roles.

It always feels like slumps are because the league adjusts to the Cubs and then the players are slow to make adjustments.

Reds played well, got to first then slump and fell to last in the division. The Cubs played well, got to first place then slump and fell in the division. The Brewers played well, got to first and then their slump should be incoming, right?

Mo is slashing .056/.056/.056 over the past 10 days

Been bad over his last 15 games, might be time to send him down and get some work in.

.061/.130/.122/.252 12 Ks

Cubs starter for Friday is still TBD, mildly interesting

They haven't named any starters yet for that series, dont know why it just wouldn't be Taillon,  Rea, and Imanaga per usual

Bring up Alcantara to play right (The Zuki at DH) and showcase him for trade partners (pitching).

my hope is that they would skip Taillon

Cubs have given up 67 HR's. Taillon is responsible for 16 of them

Anecdotally feels like we haven’t had a clean first inning in a long time.

I think Shota did a few days ago.
