Two things I don't get.

1. How come Craig didn't start Amaya?  It's very obvious that Shota pitches better with Amaya.

2. How come they can't hit Sproat?

This game sucks so far.

I can’t wait for the upcoming 5 week World Cup so I can start watching the Cubs games out of the corner on my eye.

The Brewers have Shota figured out . Hopefully they can avoid a sweep here . They are in deep horsefeathers with Misioriwski going tomorrow  . Will need a huge outing from Brown .

I blame Carson.  Shota pitches very differently, when Amaya is catching.  Unless the Brewers figured out both Carson and Miggy, I wouldn't say they figured Shota out.

Well done Craig Counsell. It’s amazing how many times he will leave a starter in one or 5 hitters too long and this happens.

Lmao,  i went to grab a snack before hitting play on my show im gonna start watching,  I went to check the mlb app just to see if cubs had anything going before I did, I kept hitting refresh cause it was showing Brewers hitting with 1 out, it took a minute to realize cubs already made 3 outs 😅

I’m not sure about that. He looked great for 3 innings. Only 35 pitches and the one solo homer. They got 3 ground ball hits in a row, none of which was hit hard. Then they put a couple good swings on him. Sure, he had a terrible inning, but also pretty unlucky.

He had a 5.78 era against the brewers before tonight .  I would say yes , brewers have him figured out , but whatever . I am out

And this is why the Cubs should have been more aggressive in protecting that 4-1 lead yesterday and going all out to win that game.  This was always going to be a tough series.  The last one didn’t need to be.

Game was probably toast anyways and he was probably trying to get more innings out of him tonight since our pen is extremely thin right now.  There are holes popping up everywhere right now.

Right, Counsell has made some wacky decisions,  but hard to jump on him when Starters cant get him 5 good innings, and the offense cant put runs on the board.

Cant just keep burning up the bullpen to get through 4-5 innings every game
