Ben Brown has 19 innings in 24 team games, which prorates out to almost 130 over a full season.

I REALLY like having a leverage-y long reliever.

It’s a lofty wish but having a rig it handed Andrew Miller would be really nice. He’s no longer a thrower but a pitcher with a decent mix so far.

Was hoping the Mets losing streak would hit 13, too bad they won.  Don't believe the Mets are going to recover even with Soto' return.  There's just something off with that team, something missing.  Maybe it's no Alonso.

I think Lindor got hurt last night. The Mets are the baseball Jets.

Given they're not the Brewers, I think it's safe to say they're done.  Good chance they'll be sellers.

He is a particularly good fit on this team. Lots of lefty starters. Boyd and Steele may need workload reduction. Piggyback him with Boyd until Steele returns, then piggyback him with Steele. Pitch him only that day and only him that day. (plus maybe Palencia when applicable)

Another possible strategy is to keep winning 7-2 so the back end of the bullpen doesn't matter.

I wouldn’t count the Mets as sellers just yet. They have a good team and can rebound from a terrible start. It will be hard and maybe they don’t rebound, but I wouldn’t say it is a good chance they sell.

No game thread up yet but giving PCA the day off against Sanchez and letting Shaw try out CF. Also going Amaya at DH, so avoiding LH hitters as much as possible (besides Kingery, sorry buddy, better luck next time).

Phillies gave Taijuan Walker his unconditional release after this game. Still owe him 72 million.

It was the last year of the deal, so most of it has already been paid. Like $16m for the rest of the year still

I wonder if any team kicks the tires or he's done-done. His numbers are brutal.

If he wants to keep himself in shape I'm sure his ability to eat innings for the minimum will have some appeal come July when the 5-6 non contending teams do mass sell offs.

Or he could just take the $110m he's made in his career and ride off into the sunset.

I think some team will eventually sign him to finished out the season. Ultimately I think Walker is cooked.
