Just read it’s a groin injury, given what we’ve seen in the past - Jaylon - it basically a season ending injury.  Sure, Jaylon came back but, he could barely move, damn it sucks.  Don’t believe it’s going to slow the Bears’ offense down in a significant manner.  One of Raymond, Thomas, Walker or a combination will step up in a big way.

We don't know the extent of Burden's yet, there's a big difference between a pull, partial tear and complete tear. If I remember correctly Johnson had 2 different tears that both required surgery, one in preseason and one a few weeks in after he came back too early. Hopefully it's not nearly as bad for Burden

Regardless of the extent, groin injuries remain problematic throughout the season.  I’m being fatalistic but, groin injuries are nagging, easy to aggravate.

Respectfully, you’re talking out of your ass.

Do you play Caleb at all in the preseason or hold him out?

1 game. A couple of offensive series.

Given the amount of injuries the Bears have ALREADY sustained in training camp I’m wondering if the coaching staff is pushing it a little too hard. Guys, just make sure your team is as healthy as possible for the start of the season.

Albert Breer is saying that Trapillo could be back sooner than people expect.

Good to hear. Is Benedet really not in the mix for LT? I haven’t even heard his name in the running.

Sounds like they like him as swing tackle, jumbo TE, but not really in the mix as a starter

If I were the coach, I would forfeit all three preseason games and stay home, but no one is offering me any coaching jobs

Theo was horrible in pass protection and it’s no coincidence that Caleb’s deep ball accuracy did a 180 when they inserted Ozzy at left tackle. Caleb was also a different quarterback with and without Brax in 2024 too. Theo is a liability, I don’t care how good of a run blocker he is.

Just came to post that, that's incredible news!  No wonder they didn't spend a lot of time worrying about that position.

Weren’t we just thinking Ozzy may never play again a few months ago? No idea how this is even possible but inject it right into my veins.

Was thinking along the same lines, I remember looking up recovery from a ruptured patellar tendon and many results suggested chances they were slim to none.

I feel like there was at least some chatter that the patellar injury he had had a bad recovery track record but the combination of his age and advancements in the surgery left some possibility the historical recovery trends maybe weren't as meaningful.

Per Adam Schefter: Coby Bryant had surgery and is out 4-6 months. They hope to have him back for the playoffs.
