I could see LV as being the best situation, #1 pick and an owner (TB) who will push to win. Its a chance to build what you want. As far as Cam Ward, how many times have we've seen a new coach come in with someone else draft pick at QB and not long after, jettison that QB for their guy? It hasnt just been the Bears either

The Raiders are only the best option if you want to get a 5 year deal and then collect paychecks for 3 years after you get fired 2 years into the deal.

I think you can cross the Raiders off the list. I can't imagine John and Jim being in the same division on arguably one of the ugliest rivalries in NFL history. They literally cut off beer sales early to limit ugly situations from taking place.

Tomlin is stepping down in Pittsburgh.

The Steelers have had 3 coaches total over the last 56 years, which is insane.

God if Lafluer is let go of too, has there ever been a more loaded coaching class?

I'm not convinced that Tomlin is gonna be looking for another coaching job.  Sounds like he may look for a broadcasting gig.

Hell of a run. Yea I know they failed to reach high level success in past decade, but it's still impressive how long he kept them competetive without ever bottoming out. That in itself is a feat.

I agree.  How do you piece together a 10 win season with Justin Fields and Russell Wilson? Another 10 wins with Pickett, Rudolph, and Trubisky.

I mostly have a distaste for their fans (which flows from my brother in law but that’s another story).  But Tomlin was good and he will coach next year if he wants to.

For comparison's sake, the Raiders are about to hire their 20th HC in 37 years.

*Technically 18th since Art Shell and Jon Gruden had two stints.

The Eagles have removed Kevin Patullo from the offensive coordinator's role, the team announced Tuesday.

Since Tomlin resigned with term on his contract I have to assume there will be something preventing him from coaching an AFC north rival

I'm sure there's at minimum a handshake agreement that the Steelers have to OK whatever job he takes or get compensation in return from the hiring team.

and the Bengals had to make it a point to say they were retaining Taylor

Bengals are the most stubborn team in the league when it comes to firing terrible coaches. How many years too long did they keep Marvin Lewis?

I don’t think Marvin Lewis was terrible. He had a pretty good run with two second/third rate franchise QBs in Palmer and Dalton. Maybe they should have pulled the trigger the first time he missed the playoffs after that streak, but they were coming off a streak of truly terrible coaching and results  after Sam Wyche left and he righted the ship.
