How could they not fire the GM?  A couple days ago Vikes fans on the subreddit were trying in vain to defend their QB moves.  A couple days later….the axe falls.  They drafted JJ too high, let go a solid QB who is now in the Super Bowl.  You can’t make the case to fans that you are serious about winning if a head doesn’t roll for that.

And sounds like the rumor mill out of Minny is fully out that JJ was a Kwesi versus KOC disagreement. Seen some rumors KOC only wanted to trade up for Maye as well. 

 

So hypothetically KOC was interested in the 2 QBs playing in the SB and Kwesi, JJ. 

 

JJ is still my "hometown" rooting interest so I look forward to seeing him traded, hopefully to AFC, and can root for a career revitalization 😂

What’s terrifying is McCarthy was Poles QB2 and a backup plan if Caleb ended up pulling an Eli. 
 

I don’t know what anyone saw in McCarthy.

Well aKshUalLy he has to be there two years. 

 

But it is hilarious that people think Atlanta unlocked this crazy loophole when this is exactly what could happen to them. And if he is good, two third rounders will be a tiny compensation.

 

And in case anyone thinks the workaround is a later promotion, no they also can't elevate him in the future to the protected "Primary" Exec without running a full search that includes at least 2 external minority candidates.

That’s a good spot for him. Solid head coach at the helm but not a guy involved with offense. Nagy should be able to run the show on his own with some decent pieces. If Giants/Dart progress he could be in the hunt for HC job as soon as next year, but with 10 new guys this round and a bunch of extensions announced already, may be more likely that jobs open up after 2027 season
