The Bears have officially clinched a playoff spot. 😇

The Bears have clinched a better record than the Lions this season, which is a wild thing that seemed not possible after week 2.

How does the tiebreaker work for #1 seed if they tie Seahawks or Rams? I think they would win the tiebreaker vs Seahawks but not sure on Rams

It goes division record, conference record, then common opponent.

Week 18 is SF/SEA. If the Bears win out, they would likely have the same division record (3-3) and with Seattle losing in the conference, the Bears would be the #1 seed.

Division record only matters for ties within the division.

With 2-3 teams, after head to head, the next tiebreaker is conference record, then common opponents.

If the Bears win out, they would win any tiebreaker with Seattle or LA.

If the Bears lose to the Niners, they can't get the 1 seed.

If the Bears beat the Niners and lose to the Lions, they would need a Philly loss, a Niners loss, 2 Seattle losses and an LA loss to finish with the 1 seed.

Feels like there’s maybe an 70% chance that the Bears face the Packers in the Wild Card round.  Only ways they avoid it:

-Get the 1 seed and a bye

-GB collapses and Detroit wins out

-Eagles pass Bears for 2 seed and the Bears play either SF or the Rams (would require 2 Bears losses and 2 Eagles wins)

-SF or LA Rams collapse and finish behind the Packers

I hate HATE that we're very likely to face the Packers again in the playoffs.

Facing nearly anyone else I would be 100% ok with the Bears getting bounced in the first round of the playoffs. Merely getting here and getting 11+ wins is such a tremendous achievement by Ben Johnson and co. But good lord. There's no way I could feel fully satisfied if they do all that and then we have a repeat of 2010 Caleb Hanie BJ Raji Dancing in the End Zone Is Jay Cutler Tough Enough Diabetes NFC Championship. I'm 15 years older and my heart is not in good enough shape for that.

So I’m the only one who bet on the Bears to win the Super Bowl before the season started?

I do feel like hitting the archives to see what people were saying about the 2025 Bears. Fun read, I'm sure.

San Fran is in the driver's seat for the #1 seed. If they win out, they get it. Their offense is firing on all cylinders right now. Really hoping for a loss tonight to kill that dream for them, but old man Rivers and the beat up Indy defense is probably not the team to make that happen.

With Love in concussion protocol and Willis a hurt shoulder and no Parsons, GB might not even make the pkayoffs

Jackson starting next week would really help out cause

I think there's a real chance the Packers lose out.  Guess that leaves the Lions, if they beat the Vikings, it'll probably come down to win and in vs. the Bears.

What if the Lions and Packers both lose out?  Just checked, in such a scenario it's Packers as the 7 seed.  I'm not that concerned about playing those fucks again, eventually, the Bears are going to put two halves together and kick the horsefeathers out of them.  The win on Saturday broke the seal.

Seattle can also take it if they win out. But they only need to win 2 games. SF has to win 3.

Packers are likely getting Max Brosmer in Week 18. They aren't losing out. IDK who's playing QB for them or the Ravens Week 17 though.

You're probably right.  I don't fear playing the Packers again, like DJ said F' them.

McCarthy's xrays were negative. 2 weeks, he should be good to go I would think
