Sorry I've been in 80 degree weather for 2 days and don't recall Odunze getting hurt in the Eagles game.  What happened with him? Hopefully he comes back vs the Browns or 2nd Packers game

He's been dealing with a foot/heel issue for a couple of months...I guess it got to be enough that they decided to let him get right.

DJ Moore will play

It brings me no pleasure to say DJ hasn’t been their best receiver for two years now

Being short Odunze hurts, but they still have a lot of weapons on offense. Rome’s importance as Calebs security blanket has lessened in the last 6-7 weeks as Loveland and Burden have emerged more. But he’s still our best receiver.

he's our leading receiver, I'm not sure hes going to be better than Burden in the future.

As for Parsons, are we sure he is not concussed? That was nearly incomprehensible.

I'm starting to think that if Parsons and Jones had tried negotiating his contract extension via email or text instead of talking in person he might still be a Cowboy.

Yeah, no thanks.  It's not just about the cold weather, either.

There are plenty of good organizations in the NFL that don't play in backwoods towns in the middle of nowhere.

It's legitimately in the bottom 5 of places I'd want to be if I played in the NFL.  Imagine having all that money and having to spend that much time there.

I was in genuine disbelief that they held a draft there.

If I remember correctly this all dates back to the late 1910's. There was an Army Core of Engineers report that came out warning of the possibility of an extremely large population expansion in rural Kentucky over the following forty years. After much debate in Congress it was decide that a small part of Wisconsin would be designated as an "Inbreeding Safe Zone." This area was set aside as a Kentucky overflow containment zone.

So the leading WR by 25 catches and 220 yards was NOT the best WR on the team in 2024?

He’s only had 188 receiving yards since week 9. Good bet it’s effecting his explosiveness.

On the plus side, it looks as if the Bears will have actual LBs on the field, so the defense should be as healthy as it's been all year.

Not sure it's still actually good, but it's basically as good as it'll be with Edwards, Sewell, Johnson, Gordon, Wright, Byard and Brisker in the defensive backfield.

At least it’s not bad on paper. This is the healthiest the unit has been all year and we saw a lot more contested passes last week by the secondary. If the offense keeps scoring they’ll be in good shape. They’re an ugly 9-3 but still 9-3 with Edwards Gordon and Johnson playing a combined 10 games.

Same scenario: Two different narratives.

31 Other teams in the NFL --- Good teams find a way to win.

Bears --- They suck

The Bears have a lot of history to overcome to be trusted.

I’m excited. It’s been a while since the Bears have had much online when facing the Packers This is really the way it should be; Bears vs Packers for the lead. Straight up old school.

Guck the Packers, BEAR DOWN!

The last time both teams were competitive concurrently was 2010-2013, The final dagger was the 4th and 13 td pass to Cobb to win the packers the north in week 17. I’d prefer being Tom Brady’s patriots going 34-4 vs Buffalo during their dynasty years but life isn’t fair.

What is Vegas seeing by giving the bears as many points vs the Packers as the Eagles? Is it matchup related or is based more on the full 12 game aggregate at only +6 with an easy SOS?

Haven't seen a weather report other than we know it will be cold. If it's not too windy, I predict some Ben Johnson creativity today. Everyone is expecting run, run, run. Packers lost their top run stopper, which means that the Bears should find success with the running game. But, I also expect the Packers to be planning on the run being the main focus. I'm not so sure Ben is going to play entirely into that narrative.

And I'm predicting a Bears win once again today. Ben probably wants this game more than anyone in the building, knowing that people still question the validity of his team. Easily the most important divisional matchup of their season today. Strike quick and often! Get some pressure on Love and make him throw some wounded ducks, and force turnovers.

Also, next week the Bears are going against the best run stopping team in the league, and now is the time to get Caleb dialed in on passing game. You don't abandon the run against GB, but there should be a lot of 2nd and 3rd and shorts that could turn into big plays with YAC.

Sure glad Nick Bosa won't be playing in the San Fran game, because that stretch of dominant DE's would have been insane for Caleb to deal with.

While I agree with your assessment, I'm not going to predict a win today. Honestly, it's just about the fact the the Bears have won 5 straight and 9 of 10. The streak/string of luck will end at some point. If not this week, they may coast through the end of the season. Obviously, hoping that does happen and it very well could, but I'm expecting a close loss and hoping for the best.

Would like to see one Caleb masterclass game before the end of the season. And I know it's in there. He completed 70% both times vs GB last year. Lot of short stuff, but combine that with his pocket play/timing from Pittsburgh, his legs from NYG, his downfield accuracy from Dallas/Cincy, and he will achieve that. IDK that it comes this week though.

Not supposed to be windy at all. 3-5 MPH winds.

Bears run game gets going, but Parsons & crew shuts down the pass game.  Bears are game on D, keeping it close, but no pass rush finally lets Love throw a couple “prayers” that result in garbage PI’s or 50/50 completions.

Packers 20 Bears 17.

We’ll get them at Soldier Field.

Also - we all know this is coming but just to say it out loud - Bears will be penalized on a shaky roughing call and the Packers will nail Caleb after the throw with no call, or in the head when he slides.

I would add a completely BS DPI, Love, under pressure, will do his throwing the ball up for grabs.  GB receiver will push off the Bears DB and/or trip over him leading to a DPI.  Didn't read the previous message, I see you added the DPI's.

Has Caleb ever got a roughing call?

Almost certain there's been one.  I really don't get this double standard when it comes to Bears' QB's and roughing calls.
