The streak/string of luck will end at some point. If not this week, they may coast through the end of the season. Obviously, hoping that does happen and it very well could, but I'm expecting a close loss and hoping for the best.

The Bears don't have to be lucky to win though.

I would add a completely BS DPI, Love, under pressure, will do his throwing the ball up for grabs.  GB receiver will push off the Bears DB and/or trip over him leading to a DPI.  Didn't read the previous message, I see you added the DPI's.

Different Bears team. That aint happening again.

Wasn't implying that, just saying that most teams don't win 14 of 15 games to end the season (not to mention potentially 16 of 17 with playoffs). They are probably going to lose a game soon. This is the most likely loss left on the schedule (odds makers likely agree).

You’re right, but the Bears are 8-4 against the spread and the oddsmakers keep on getting it wrong

The most likely loss since last week was the most likely loss, but I get your point.

I think the spread finished as Bears +6.5 last week. I think it's +7 now. But A) I said most likely loss remaining, Eagles game is over. and B) part of it is that teams don't often win B2B games as TD underdogs on the road and if they win this, they may not be underdogs for any game again this year.

And part of my attitude today is "F it, IU won!". LOL. I was hoping just not to be shutout this weekend between IU basketball vs #6 Louisville, IU football vs #1 Ohio St, and Bears vs Packers.

I think this game is largely a must-win for GB, more so than the Bears, just because due to the current standings the Bears splitting the two GB games keeps the Bears in first with 3 games left, 2 at home, with both teams having similar closing schedules.

If the Bears win this game, they're effectively 2 games up with 4 to play, 3 at home.

If the Packers win this game, they're 1 game up with 4 to play, 1 at home, and still go to Chicago.

Yeah its certainly not rational but I feel the same way raw does about this game - we've won 9 of 10, been the beneficiary of some very favorable luck AND we just beat the defending champs like a drum in a game almost no one but Bears fans expected... for some reason it just feels hard to expect the Bears to keep going. That may be some learned helplessness and trauma against the Packers on my part, but its just how I feel.

Funny thing that as much as we've been "lucky" with some things, we have by far the worst Penalty Yardage differential in the league (Bears have been penalized 287 yards more than their opponents, which is 62 yards worse than the next on the list, Denver) and there is no part of me that thinks thats entirely the Bears "fault". I hate it, and I want it to stop.

Believe it or not, I think the Bears have been the more consistent team of these two this year.  Green Bay's current three game win streak is tied for their longest of the year.  I think the Bears can run on this team.  And the Packers just come out with no offense every few games.  With the weather, it seems like today could be that day.  And honestly, I just have incredible belief in Johnson and this coaching staff to really give the Packers something they aren't able to deal with.

Also I know that the Packers are supposed to be a low turnover team, but I have the Bears getting at least two today.

I'm not worried about our offense really. I think we'll be able to move the ball and score points. I'm more worried about our defense, which, even when healthy, cannot generate any consistent pressure and has had issues on and off all season stopping the run. They had their best overall game last week, but I'm concerned.

And we may rag on him and find him baffling, but Jordan Love has the 3rd best QBR in the league. He's, annoying and infuriatingly, a very good QB.

Let’s see how the defense responds with Kyler and Jaylon back like they did last week. And let’s see if they can turn the ball over again.
