Saturday Night at Soldier Field against the Packers. I am sure the fans will be well behaved and sober.

Yes, because 12:00 Sunday starts are notoriously full of sober crowds.

Remember when Rex got drunk on New Year’s Eve and was terrible in a meaningless game against the Packers in 06?

I wish we had more memories like that than…the other ones

Is Trapilo considered the starting LT moving forward? They're going up against Parsons - Garrett - Parsons the next three weeks. I imagine they'd look at attacking him or Benedet if he steps in, but it will be a good test to see if there's something there.

Either way, it's looking like they have three legitimate tackle prospects under the age of 25.

Parsons plays all over the line, from a three-point stance to a stand-up rusher.  I don't have the stats, but the eye test from watching all of their games is that he prefers to line up against the RT, so XXXXXXX Wright in this case.  Surprisingly, he has gotten very few holding calls against him this season.

I saw the play where Wyatt got hurt and it looked brutal.  Actually felt bad for the guy.  But yeah there's no coming back from that.

He's got a broken bone in his lower leg. So, yeah, he's done until next season.  Their (remaining) two interior Dlinemen with experience are on the lighter side at 296 and 273. Then the two remaining backups are both rookies with not a lot of game snaps. But they're big bodies at 315 and 327. With the Bears experience on the inside of their O-line, it is definitely an advantage to the Bears.  Packers LBs (very quick and physical) and Safeties are really good in run support. Their top LB is Quay Walker, and he missed last game with a stinger.

The 70s and most of the 80s were pretty tough being a Packers fan. Especially living in Chicago in the 80s.

There aren't too many seasons in the past 35 where both of these teams have actually been good.

So, your saying Jones got healthy this week, finally fixed his anchor and moved to the right side? 😁

My bad, meant Darnell Wright. Thanks for the catch, and I fixed my original post.

The HBO documentary that came out last week on it was pretty good.

Spoiler

Didn't realize that it was filmed the day after the loss to Miami, Payton and McMahon didn't show up for filming and had to do a 1980's CGI of their part

That's mostly the Bears fault. I can count on one hand how many bad Packers teams there have been over the past 35. For the Bears I would run out of fingers and toes.

2001? 2010? 2018? Where both were good?

Hadn’t heard a single thing about this before your post.

I found the Super Bowl Shuffle doc one of the most pleasant completely-unnecessary-low-stakes-but-why-not kind of documentary you can have. It's really an excuse to just revel in some nostalgia about the era, and there's nothing wrong with that.

Packers were bad  in 2018, they finished 6-9-1. I’d add 2012 and 2013 if both teams finishing with 8 wins qualifies as good on top of 01 and 2010. Lions are 14-18, Vikings are 11-19-2, Bears are a disgraceful 5-26 since the start of the 2010 season.

Not to go full meatball but it’s still the Same old Bears until they start beating the Packers consistently.

This is not meatball at all. The three most important games every year are ...

Beating green bay at home.

Beating green bay on the road.

Winning the Super Bowl. ( Win the SB but go 15-2 with two losses to gb ... *asterisk )

NOTE: I didn't include beating green bay in the playoffs, because in a just world green bay isn't in the playoffs. And sidewalks magically shovel themselves during winter.

.Half of it has already been covered. Strong chance caleb is short of 4K passing yards and 30 touchdown passes

I’m not just satisfied with a sweep, going further than them in the playoffs is also a mandate, losing to the horsefeathers brewers in the LDS was nauseating enough.
Beginning of the Rodgers era in a 37-3 loss, the 4th and 13 play, NFC championship, the week 1 2018 comeback, the I own you game, 55-14, the beginning of the MLF era losing 10-3 celebrating the NFLs 100th anniversary followed up by the end of the Rodgers era in a 38-20 week 1 loss to Jordan love. I’m sick of this horsefeathers.

I hate how much is riding on this game. Can’t we have a low stress, not a game that flips our chances of the playoffs like 30% one way or the other on a win or loss?

just fast forward to the Browns game please
