Exactamundo. There is no perfect way to do this nonsense despite everybody demanding the field to increase every year to fix the latest snub.

Agreed.  But we can at least ask the committee to jump over low bars.  Having ND over Alabama and then flipping them based off Alabama squeaking past Auburn and getting blown out by Georgia while ND just blew out Stanford during that time doesn't make any sense.  If Alabama had been ahead of ND the entire time it would have much more understandable.

But snubs in general?  Will always happen.  These teams don't play enough games to truly differentiate one from another.

Great point. I never thought about that.  It’s football.  There are a limited number of data points to work with.

... people will bitch if its a 2,4,8,16,32,64 team playoff anyway.

Spot on.

Basketball lets in 68 and every year 2-3 teams "get screwed".

I think the committee got the final result correct, Alabama and Miami over Notre Dame and BYU. It's somewhat debatable, but that's how I viewed it. The thing everyone can agree on is the week by week process to get there was crap.

Instead of releasing a ranking every week they should just release four categories.

Cat 1: The four byes.

Cat 2: At large teams.

Cat 3: Teams on the bubble.

Cat 4: Teams on the outside.

Cat's 2-4 wouldn't have to be a set number of teams. For example some weeks maybe only 2-3 teams were viewed as being at large ( Cat 2 ) quality and everyone else was 3 or below.

This would eliminate the stupid #9 having lost to #13 early and then having to watch the committee gerrymander the rankings the last few weeks in order to get the correct decision and put Miami ahead of Notre Dame. Plus the other stupid story lines that happened this year.

A few examples from this year.

Notre Dame would have started the year Cat 3 and just never moved.

Miami would have started unlisted and climbed 0-4-3.

Teams like ... Texas A&M 1-2, Alabama 1-2-3, BYU 2-3, Texas Tech 2-1, Georgia 2-1, Texas 3-4, Oklahoma 4-3-2, Utah, Virginia, Louisville 4-0 etc.

RE: Michigan

I think it's more like inappropriate relationship with mid results.

In two years he's averaged 8-4.

Though I suspect he would not be fired if they beat OSU and were inthe playoffs, But firing him now is a bit awkward for the program. I truly believe this is a mostly legit reason he was fired

So, was the police involvement because of something that was discovered during the investigation or did he go ballistic when they fired him?

My guess is it's the first one but either is possible.

Supposedly he knocked up a young staffer who had an abortion, he’s married with 4 kids, and then flipped out threatening to kill himself and the side piece too. Now there is no confirmation that I’ve seen on the latter part, so take it with a grain of salt. Oh, apparently Michigan knew about this 4 months ago so they may have missed their window to fire him with cause.

It sounds like he broke into the mistress' house and was expressing suicidal tendencies?

Not a good situation all around.

My son said he read about on reddit several weeks ago....so there has obviously been some information out there about it

At least he said the rumors about were out there

Based on other sex scandals in the NCAA, this probably isn't the end of Moore's career

He will probably be a o line coach in the NFL next year, or some sort of Quality Control coach. Be OC somewhere after that

This is one scandal too far for me. Clean it up and get your horsefeathers together Michigan.

Also this absolutely without a doubt proves that there is an inverse relationship between Michigan football and Michigan basketball success.

So Indiana may have lost one it's best DL and pass rushers to a post championship game injury?

Saw a video, jumping trying to high-five a fan, lands and something happened to his, I believe, right leg.  Wonder if was a delayed injury situation?  Is that possible?

Moore charged with felony home invasion, stalking, and break/enter.  Total meltdown.  It’s difficult to understand.  Married, 3 young kids.
