Somewhere (probably another Brock owned outlet) they are complaining about all the breaks the Cubs get from deflections off the wall

Every day I get on the NSBB Writer's Slack there's some new team Brock owns the site for.

"Oh, what, Rockies Rickhouse just opened? I didn't know there were enough Rockies fans for that" I think most days.

98% of ball strike challenges next year are going to come during Seiya ABs

Seiya should sue the umpires union for lost wages.

I'm not entirely sure Shaw was safe at home, but no challenge so we'll never know!

Hadn’t thought of that. I hope Matt wasn’t safe, it makes the Brewers earlier challenge, on something so close they shouldn’t have challenged, funnier now.

Helps when it's your 2nd fastest runner at 3rd base and not Ian "Lead Boots" Happ

And the ball was pulled to the right side and not hit hard right to the 3rd basemen

I was surprised when browsing several team boards I have visited a few times over the years to find they were now owned by Brock and co.   I'm surprised he hasnt scooped up Soxtalk and Redszone yet.

I don’t think Nico strikes out enough guys

I did not even read that article because the premise was so stupid.  In a lineup full of guys who strike out plenty, I will never complain about a consistent hitter like Nico  who almost always puts the ball in play.  I "get" the analytics in a vacuum, but baseball is not played in a vacuum.

I always forget Taylor Rogers pitched at Kentucky.

(I understand that this is a very much "me only" thing, but welcome to my thoughts).

Mostly because he was terrible here.

Not sure how Ortiz is fouling off those nasty inside breakers

I do think there is "too much contact". Frank Schwindel is a guy who comes to mind with that. He had really great contact ability and some good power. But you could kill the guy because he'd swing so often and make contact so often on pitches out of the zone that you never had to throw him actual strikes for him to hit; he'd just get himself out.

Nico could probably be a better offensive hitter if he swung and missed a little more often on chase pitches simply because he'd get another crack at a good pitch to hit. But I also think he's a fine version of what he is so it's whatever. He has a uniquely weird skillset and I won't complain or look a gift horse in the mouth.

I assume the brewers shortstop situation is pretty dire because they’ve been rolling out Joey Ortiz and his 60something wRC every day. Though presumably they’d just sign like, alexei Ramirez to replace him and be fine.
