Ah, yes, the guy who's traded for the biggest bat moved the last 2 deadlines.  You guys are idiots.

I'm frustrated because I know any trades he makes are going to be attempts at marginal improvement.  Nothing truly impactful is going to happen.

why do you know that though? like, what is it based on given his trading history?

You're getting worked up over nothing. Jed is going to make impactful moves. He traded for Paredes last season while 6 games under .500.

It was a very short appearance I think he will be fine lol.

I dunno managers really love the idea of taking complete days off for struggling players.  No thinking about ABs, your lack of success, etc.  Not a huge deal, but with a big lead and an injury plus the off day tomorrow it would have made sense to keep him out of the game imo.

Yeah there's just too much we don't know. Like I would have thought they would have told him not to bother with all the pre-game prep, stretching, lacing up the shoes, etc, just be around in case of emergency. But maybe he felt good, or wanted to test it out in a (low leverage) game setting....who knows.

thank you. I dont understand where all this panic comes from or the belief that he sits on his hands during trade deadlines.  Are people getting him mixed up with AKME?

It's understandable impatience.  This team is good enough to make the playoffs as constructed, but they've had enough struggles since the Red Sox series post-ASB that their flaws are becoming apparent, plus the Brewers' surge has put a lot more pressure on the Cubs than most of us expected.

Blame the modern trade deadline and playoff structure.  Both have made it next to impossible for teams to pull off big moves more than 48 hours from the deadline.

*deletes all posts asking why Happ is playing today*

Dude went from hurting his leg and feeling dizzy, getting put on IL,  xrays being negative, not being put on IL, getting the day off, looking like crap striking out as a PH, to hitting a HR all in less then 24 hours. 😅😅😅

Ballesteros, is there a real possibility for him to stick on this roster after today?

With everyone healthy and Amaya returning soon, where would he get his AB as a C/DH?

Maybe it best for him if he gets used in a trade for a SP since hes pretty much blocked with this team, of course there's always next season for him.

I seriously thought PCA was gonna hit a 2nd half wall and somehow he has improved, so far. Just a doubles machine right now. Out of our big bats I thought he was easily the most likely to slump hard.

Suck it Brewers.  Assuming we close this out, just need to go 3-2 at Wrigley to win the tiebreaker over MIL

I think if Hoyer makes the right moves they can do better then that
